And if you need further proof than nearly 90 years of sheer dominance by the Yankees over everyone ESPECIALLY the Sox, here is the mother of all proofs. One day, Pedro Martinez almost got into a fight for hitting a batter. Pedro was screaming back at the guy that he was on the plate and to back off the plate or he is gonna pitch him inside whether he liked it or not. Anyway, he went on to strike the guy out on the next 5 pitches and the pitch before, he threw one behind him and then came back with a beautiful fastball dead on the inside of the plate that nearly tide the guy in knots. In anycase, after the game, he said that he has to pitch inside and that all the hitters now try to hog the plate. The reporter asked him if he is afraid to hit someone. Pedro says "Why should I be? I would hit Babe Ruth if I have to". Now, why would you say that? Since then, Pedro hasn't won a game, went on the disable list, and now has a possible tear in his shoulder that will probably cause him to miss the rest of the season. Damn, talk about power from beyond.
