To shed a bit more like on Pasox2's comment... This stuff works. No joke. It was a real eye-opener for me. I get the feeling that PRESTON is wearing a Babylon 5 t-shirt. And 10 minutes after I left the party, the Dixie Chicks broke in and... well, you know the rest of the story. PRESTON, you da man, bud. Don't forget to compliment her smoothly on her looks. "'Cuz You GOT-TUH-GOT-TUH HAVE A LITTLE TENDERNEssSsSs! Chicks dig that romantic stuff, man!" Gotta be smooth, though.
Just ask her out when you think you're ready. Forget about the friend zone. That's bs. If a girl likes you she'll go out with you regardless if you're friends or not. She either likes or she doesn't. The real risk you run is waiting to long and having someone else come in and snatch her. There's no shame in asking a girl out and having her say no, which is the real thing I believe you fear. Go for it. And if she says no you're probably better off without her. Trust me, in the end you want someone who wants to be with you.
trust me, there IS a friend zone. i've seen and experienced it. a girl can like you initially, but you start showing her you're a girly man, she'll make you her girlfriend.
Preston, Take it from someone who has had to do this a lot (but not anymore) that you just have to bite the bullet and ask her to do lunch with you. As someone else said, lunch is a lot less threatening to a girl than doing dinner. Don't make the mistake of doing dinner AND a movie for a first date as that is too much. I would just go to lunch with her and try to get to know her better but that would be it for the first date. You should be able to pick up a vibe by the end of the date on if there is going to be a second one. Good luck.
What kind of job is this that has training to 11 pm, the trainees are disruptive, and the trainer has actually assigned seats (instead of, say, firing people) to fix the problem? I know it has little to do with the advice you want, but it seems like other folks have handled that part, and I'm really curious about what kind of job has an atmosphere like that.
It's a call center job. Apparently, the disruptors are going to be fired very soon, as they are always late and such. The trainer is pissing me off by not getting rid of them, but hell, I kind of have them to thank for meeting this girl.
Ask questions. It's the easiest way to get conversation started and she'll be impressed that you acually want to know about her.
Good luck Presto... I think Nomar actually gave you some sound advice. I'll keep my fingers crossed...hoping to hear some good news later on tonight!!! <3
Yet on the other hand, one of the most annoying things in the world is when a man talks about himself nonstop...
Hey guys, my buddy is a genius I think. He reminded me Eragon was coming out this week in theatres. Maybe I could say something like "I want to see it with someone who will appreciate it like I do." Maybe an early afternoon time and I can feel out if she wants to go to dinner with me afterwards.
Just talk to her, let her know that you're interested, and ask her out. Diplomacy check DC 15 (10 Default for asking a girl out to a first date + 5 for awkward environment) It's OK though, your 10 skill points in diplomacy + 8 points to diplomacy from the Shroud of Hunkmeister means all you have to roll is anything above a 1. Good luck and may the force be with you.
