I think the Texans ruined Carr's career. He would of been ok under an established team, system, and coach etc being given some time to learn. He was thrown into a bad situation. I also thought that Carr would be ok this year with an improved line and the addition of Bush. The Texans kind of screwed him over there too. I kind of feel sorry for him.

But I choose not to live in the past. I support the players we have (I love Demeco and Mario) but I would love some upgrades at the other positions. :)

Wow. That pretty much says it all right there. Read between the lines. The coddling is over. David, you're playing for your job next year.

you're probably right on this, but he's damaged goods and shell shocked now. I don't know if he would have ever been great one, but probably at least a fairly good QB. Maybe a change of scenery will help him, but I don't see him having success here, especially now that everyone is turning on him. He seems like a good guy and I feel bad for him, thats why last year would have been the perfect time to start fresh and cut him loose.

So we should hold onto Carr because of Steve Young, I have no doubt Carr was brought into a bad situation but his time here is past as far as I am concerned.

I didn't say that at all. In fact, if he's going to continue to be like Young he needs a year on the bench of a great franchise under a hall of famer before having his "coming out party".

And, as I've said elsewhere, I'm slowly coming around to that opinion myself.

the better idea is to trade Carr for a draft pick/ Oline man,
and sign a proven veteran QB.

look at the Ravens. They signed McNair and they have solid O and D lines.
Bryon Leftwich would be a good choice.

    1. Leftwich sucks
    2. The Ravens have been toiling in mediocrity since Dilfer because of the QB position alone. Mcnair filled their only glaring weakness. Leftwich would be on the shelf here so much more than he is in Jville. Let Sage hold it down till a better option comes available or go get Jeff Garcia for a year or two.

    When did I say that?

I said "you didn't know jack crap", and based on the context of course I meant at that time. And, you didn't. You had a strong opinion and it turned out right. 5 times out of 10 it won't!! If you do better than .500, then by all means go get a GM job.
