Is it me or does Manchester United feel like not advancing to the knockout round.......AGAIN!!!! I know they have one more game, but this is ridiculous. Maybe Ferguson should have rested his starters and played the second team or something. This is not how they wanted to go into Sunday's match against Chelski.
The problem is we have no second team. We don't have a single person to even bring off the bench to change a game in our favor at the moment. Right now, our depth is non-existent.
What a game by John Carew for Lyon ! This guy is a mystery : he was great last year from august to december, then was atrocious from january up until this saturday, where he played pretty good and then this tuesday, where he made a fool out of the future golden ball Fabio Cannavaro and was just incredible during the 90 minutes.
Arsenal-HSV was 0-1 at the half, and I was mashing reload on my phone repeatedly while in class to check the score. Pretty happy with the result
I'm happy Celtic won the game. I always liked Celtic,(ever since Bonner was their Goalie). Man U might not even get to the second round.
I didn't get to watch the games and have stayed away from the results. I'll watch the tapes over the break. Wed., Nov. 22 Bremen vs. Chelsea Levski vs. Barcelona Inter Milan vs. Sporting Spartak vs. Bayern Bordeaux vs. Galatasaray Liverpool vs. PSV Valencia vs. Olympiakos Shakhtar vs. Roma I just checked the tv listings to see which games are showing and apparently they are showing world series of poker Please tell me this is NOT true!!!
I'm afraid it is. Apparently, ESPN Classics is showing Levski Sofia - Barcelona at 4pm and ESPN2 is showing Werder Bremen - Chelsea at....12.30am ! (all Houston time)
I set my VCR to record at 1:30 ESPN 2 and 4 PM Espn classic so at least I will get to watch Barca. I can't believe they would show poker over the CL...ugh.
Tuesday, December 5, 2006 Barcelona v Werder Bremen (ESPN 2 @ 1:30 PM) Chelsea v Levski Sofia Bayern Munich v Inter Milan Sporting Lisbon v Spartak Moscow Galatasaray v Liverpool PSV Eindhoven v Bordeaux Olympiakos v Shakhtar Donetsk Roma v Valencia (ESPN Classic @ 4 PM) Big big game for Barcelona, must win or draw to advance to the knockout round. If they lose, they will be the first defending champions not to advance past the group stage. Ronaldinho and company will NOT let that happen (they better not!) CL Rundown
Sweeeeeeet! I am work and cannot watch but taping it. Will keep watch updates online...Barca needs this one baaaaaad!
Here are the teams to advance thus far: First place: Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Valencia Second place: Barca, Inter, PSV, Roma
Crap, can this really be happening again? Brilliant goal completely against the run of play for Benfica. 1-0 Benfica. 29 minutes
1-1 going into the half. United have to be careful about the counter attack. They're pushing so many people forward at times, it could come back to bite them in the ass. They still need to put the pressure on Benfica and score more goals. They can't play for the draw.
