Well, the BCS show will be coming on soon...I'd like Florida, and apparently by the look of things, so does the papers... I hope its true...
I really don't get the florida criticism in general, sure they have some ugly wins, so does ohio state, so does usc, and so does michigan.
It seems like the voters in the polls pushed Florida ahead of Michigan because they didn't want to see a rematch. I doubt their votes changed because of Florida's win over Arkansas. Count me in with those who think if Ohio State brings their "A" game they will smash Florida in a route. I think Troy Smith will justify his Heisman Trophy by shredding Florida's defense. But bigger upsets have happened and you have to play the game. Chris Leak isn't 1/2 the player Smith is.
I think chris leak is a better passer, and he has the career numbers to back it up. chris leak has a fine career at florida. and the last two years he has been running an offense that doesn't even suit his strength. he's not a runner. florida went 12-1 in the SEC, how exactly are they gonna be blown out for sure.
College sports suck in general, but football sucks in particular because of the BCS bs. Just have a tournament like they manage to have in college basketball, have 8-16 entrants, and have a real champion.
i think its great because each game matters. I don't even watch ncaa basketball regular season anymore.
I didn't realize smith had 30 tds to only 5 interceptions this year or that his rating was so high. leak had a good year, but I retract, smith had better passing numbers.
LOL! Yes, but I think they normally spend all of their time off during winter break weekends at the school library . It would interrupt their study time.
I think even having a 4 team playoff is enough. When you pick the top 4, your main arguments would be on the 4th seed. I think at least you're assured that the top 2 teams are in it, which is the whole point of the broken system we have now.
Agreed 100%. Also, Florida deserves this. The SEC was tough, and they rolled through it. Michigan fans do have a right to be angry, though...it is a totally flawed system
Well fortunately for us it isn't a Smith/Leak head-to-head game. It's Smith vs the Gators defense, which I think will be unlike any defense they've faced this year (with the schedule Michigan played, I don't think they're a proven great defensive team). Then it's Leak (and sometimes Tebow) vs the OSU defense. It will be tough, but we've got some playmakers who can blow up for one big time play, which I think will decide it.
