Florida made it out of the SEC with one loss, Michigan had their chance. Send Florida. (although I wouldn't mind seing Michigan defeat OSU and mess everything up)
I agree, but since we are all screwed this year anyway. tOSU should play Florida. Louisville has to really be kicking itself now for losing to Rutgers.
They had their chance...Send Florida...They are more deserving...The BCS is a joke... HaHa...I'm so glad USC choked...they suck...
UC.............LA................UC..........LA Last I checked the thread title was about UCLA>>USC, not about Florida or Michigan. UCLA the greatest sports program in the NCAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, it's not about whether Michigan should get two chances or not. The BCS game is for the best two teams in the nation. It has nothing to do with whether those two teams played against each other before.
Agreed, I feel Michigan is the 2nd best team in the nation. Even if USC would have won I would still feel Michigan was the 2nd best team. I think the rematch is the way to go for the national title.
This is the argument that makes no sense to me. They should get 10 chances if they're the 2nd best team or the best team that can face the Buckeyes.
The thinking is thus: it's a close call between Fla & Mich as to who is the real No. 2, - basically it's a dead heat. It's just not clear who the no. 2 is. But had Mich beat the Bucks it wouldn't be, in a sense you can say justice was done because they had their shot at no. 1 and came up short (same same if the Longhorns had finished with one loss, IMO).
they already lost to them once. Let a team that just won a superior conference have a shot. I understand your argument, I'd just rather see someone else and I'm more of a michigan fan than OSU.
But how do you know if they are the 2nd best team? We know Michigan lost to OSU. We have no idea if Florida would lose to OSU.
You mean the SEC were the collective offenses are so inept that the defenses look NFL like each saturday. The SEC is good but they're just a tad overrated.
We don't know for sure. Michigan lost by 3 to OSU at the Horseshoe. If Florida played there OSU probably would have destroyed them. Just an opinion that Michigan is better. Much better, IMO.
Sure, and that may be. But if you're a proponent of a playoffs, the way to best duplicate that is say Mich/OSU played one "bracket" and Florida came out of the other. OSU dispatched Michigan and now has to face the next team.
To me it's not that unclear. Michigan played OSU to a near standstill, so they are nearly if not equal to OSU and this has been proven on the field (not through subjectivity or computer rankings). Florida lost to Auburn, they nearly lost to SC, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida State. For me it should never be a situation of "give another team a shot", it should be give the best team for the shot a shot, and right now to me that's Michigan because they showed they can stay on the same field and nearly beat what everyone calls the best team in the country - OSU. Florida has just shown me that they can nearly lose to about 4 or 5 teams in the nation.
I don't want to start a new thread but how in gods green earth did Zach Taylor win Big 12 OF POY?????? F*CK OU!!!!!
