Nothing wrong with TMac...if you watch him he's never going full speed, probably closer to half...looks to be coasting. If he was trying to go by people and couldn't do it, I'd be worried, but the man is out there ridin Yao right now. It's true his jumper is off but that happens to everyone, plus he has a little adjusting to do, it's almost like adjusting to coming off the bench for him now that he's not the primary option taking the most shots. As soon as he gets his shooting touch back we'll be in business with the best 1-2 in the leauge.
I disagree with the "McGrady is dead" argument. He sees that Yao can carry the team. He sees that this is the game plan. He's trying to work out his role around it. He's right about the assists part. He's just wrong about the long jumpers part. The real test for McGrady is, can he learn to shoot a decent percentage without getting as many shots to get into his groove? He's never had to do that before. Going to the hole -- I expect more of that once he figures out how it works within the Yao-focused offense. And I agree with those of you who think he's taking it easy on his body until closer to playoff time.
Wow, did T-Mac sleep with Fran Blinebury's wife or something? He says T-Mac won't be doing what Kobe did, but seriously, how many players could do that? It was an incredible performance and I'm sure even Kobe himself couldn't go 11-11 again. I can't believe this douche bag writes for the Houston Chronic.
Um seems to me you are agreeing with everything Fran is saying then. i don't think we'll ever seen the 04-05 t-mac again which is very sad.
T-mac looks great to me. He's letting his teammates get involved normally - but tonight he looks like he took a bit of an exception to what Fran said until getting his clock cleaned out by Mutombo. I say - everything is A-OK with Tracey.
