i didn't see this posted before. if it was, then lock it up and i'm sorry for the mistake.

also, i don't know where the toronto star gets news about the rockets. take it for what it's worth, i guess. here is the link and what was said:

    LINK

again this seems weird. thanksgiving was last week. if this is true, why didn't we hear anything about it then?

then a week later, of all things, a toronto based paper leaks the story? it's hard to swallow.

i forgot to add that you need to scroll down past the Magloire trade rumor story (not involving the rockets).

again, if there was another thread about this story then i'm sorry and lock it up!

You know what.....I wouldn't even trade him (if he really is the problem everyone is saying he is)

I would let him sit on the roster let his value plummet more than it already has.

Trading him to a contender for a backup point is really tempting though

Let's trade him for Gerald Fitch and a TE. That would be a good trade.

Actually the report that Bonzi missed practice after Thanksgiving has been posted before. But there was no mention on why, unlike this article which basically says Bonzi didn't bother to check the practice schedule.

    Buck Fonzi.

Seriously, what is with pg's and attitude lately? I swear. We can't trade him and we can't play him. Sure as hell I hope we don't cut him either. This guy has issues.

you guys sound like a bunch of jilted lovers ...

We'll see Bonzi soon, I'm sure, and he'll add some great depth and tenacity we need right now to help finish out games. I'm sure he's still pissed about getting such a low contract, but, for that same reason, he'll pull out of it.

And, worst case, we'll get someone else that will be a valuable piece in trade in late January.

That would do rox any good. Plus, neglect the fact that Bonzi has some trade value, future free agents are gonna second think about JVG's doghouse while they consider Rockets.

Do you mean future free agents who kissed 36 million dollar contracts goodbye, and finally decide to stoop to come to Houston for one year to try to recoup some of their losses, all the while never having any real intention of actually putting forth any kind of genuine effort for the Rockets, and in fact becoming a distraction by his mere presence and the fact of his nothingness?

    THOSE kinds of free agents?

Yeah, well, maybe those kinds of free agents OUGHT to think twice before deciding to come to Houston.

One might even venture to say that the one we already have probably should have thought twice before coming to play for a coach who actually expects effort and expects his players to be in good shape.

In fact, I would go as far as to say that any and all future free agents who share our current free agent's attitude, mindset and work ethic should just stay the heck away.

I figure we sound like a bunch of people that have already gone through a similar situation with Eddie 'No Show' Griffin.

Bonzi's been absurdly unprofessional in the least and it's tough to believe that he genuinely wants to play for us.

    Thank you Nero, exactly.

Frequently I see "Houston/JVG are scaring off free agents", in response to this, Derek freaking Anderson, and other busts.

Bogus. 9 times out of 10, free agents go where the money is, or failing that, go where the PT is so they can make more $$ on their next contract. This is true everywhere.

Does anybody think a famous malcontent like Ben Wallace was thinking "Oh man, scott skiles is such a taskmaster, I'm going to walk away from the ridiculous amount of money Chicago is offering my broken down ass to take it easy with a players coach like Phil Jackson for the MLE" Obviously not.

The NBA don't work that way.
