I respect your opinion.....but last time I checked teams play the players that give them the BEST chance to win. Wells at 15 lbs over-weight is still far better then anyone on our bench!
for the spelling challenged: arithmetic /n. ; adj. / —Related forms arithmetically, adverb BTW, last season NOK really hoped their mid-season record would TRANSLATE into a playoff spot and the Pistons hoped their regular season record would TRANSLATE into a championship. However, both teams were "lost in translation".
I actually see it the other way around... T-Mac's hesitancy to shoot and decision to be the play-maker is forcing Rafer to become a more active part of the offense. T-Mac is supposed to be one of Rafer's go to guys... I'm happy with 10-5 though. There's definately room for improvement, but even after last night I could sense some chemistry being formed. I'm honestly happy with what JVG is doing in every aspect right now, too...
whatever......dallas was at full strength. i dont know what game you were watching. yao was unstoppable. dampier cant hold him. i'll give the rockets a lot of credit for winning that game. even if they weren't at full strength.....we beat them by 30 or so
its still too early to tell, but well see! im very optimistic this season, and im pretty sure somebody will be traded before deadline!
please don't enjoy this record too much, just let it be. looking at our December schedule, I would write such a posting at the end of December rather than now.
see, now I dont understand this thinking When are we fans supposed to enjoy our favorite team having a winning record? (and the best Nov in over 10 years) Its almost like some of you just dont know how to be happy. We arent talking "OMG We are so gonna kill everyone nad win the championship right now!" just a little acknowledgement that in fact your favorite team is still managing to take care of business eventho they arent at their best yet. NO mattter how concerned you may be about weaknesses in the rotation...they have managed to do well and that is cause for at least a little happiness.
Geez, you're all acting as if we're in last place or something. The Rockets haven't even hit their stride yet. McGrady hasn't shot the ball well all year. We still have lots of players that are getting adjusted to the new system. Bonzi Wells hasn't done $**t for our team. The schedule has been rough to start out the season. We've had injuries to some key players(Snyder,TMac,Hayes), and still we've won 2/3 of our games. I'm expecting the Rockets to do at least one more trade this year. Hopefully for a decent big man to back up Yao or Chuck, or another shooter that can play on the perimeter. I think this team could do some major damage this year. Even with us not playing 100% right now, we're still doing well.
If you're a Debbie Downer on the Rockets going 10-5 after all the years of frustration we've had, then there's something chemically wrong with you.
I can see that....well then If T-Mac's shot isnt falling, how bout playing Luther at the 1 instead of Rafer? I'd rather Luther shoot with his eyes covered then keep seeing Rafer shoot
Still a Rookie, can not make thread, so paste here Rockets Schedule in Dec. Sat.2 VS Cleveland Tue.5 VS Golden State Wed. 6 @Minnesota Fri.8 VS Charlotte Sat.9 @Washington Tue.12 VS Lakers Thu.14 @ Golden State Fri.15 @ Lakers Sun.17 @Clippers Wed.20 @Portland Fri.22 @Spurs Sat.23 VS Clippers Tue.26 @Indiana Wed.27 @New Jersey Fri.29 VS Atlanta Sun.31 VS Memphis Bloody dead Dec, three back to back, only 6 home games out of 16. I am sure Yao will keep the level he has right now So, if Tmac can focus on passing or make some approvements on his shooting,I'll say we can make 11-5 Otherwise. 6-10 or worse
KKUU, Here's my prediction: Sat.2 VS Cleveland...W Tue.5 VS Golden State...W Wed. 6 @Minnesota.....L (2nd night of B-2-B) Fri.8 VS Charlotte....W Sat.9 @Washington...W (going on gut feeling here) Tue.12 VS Lakers....W Thu.14 @ Golden State....L Fri.15 @ Lakers....? (tough one here, 2nd night of B-2-B) Sun.17 @Clippers....L Wed.20 @Portland....W Fri.22 @Spurs...L Sat.23 VS Clippers....W Tue.26 @Indiana....L Wed.27 @New Jersey....? (tough one Kidd, Carter, Jefferson...B-2-B) Fri.29 VS Atlanta....W Sun.31 VS Memphis....W I see 9-10 wins...anything more is great, anything less is ok because we are 5 games above .500 right now
Dallas was not in the middle of a slump when the roxs met. Both the roxs and the mavs were 0-1 when they played. The Roxs beat them down with their full roster(ie prior to Josh Howard's injury). Their slump started when they were 0-2...how is 0-1 a slump? They also snapped their 4 game losing streak by beating phoenix on the 2nd nite of a back2back on the road without Josh Howard. You saw how difficult that was for the Roxs to do the same with Snyder out as well.
10-5 is ok, though not awesome, when did rox get such "school report card"? it was in 1996-97, 10 years ago, after recovering last season's injuries and "illness", rox is just getting warmed up...what else do some of us wanna blame?
OK, OK, so, if we didnt beat Dallass we would be 10-6. Yeah, that is a terrible record. And besides all that, if we didnt beat any good teams, that means we played all bad teams and were supposed to win anyway?
