Zach, I must say, not only all the detailed analysis are lost in your translation, but also you made up something your own that original writer didn't mean at all. Don't ruin this great article.

while pulling together screen shots and pointing out things that are based on speculation may seem like in depth analysis, it's really not.

In the first scenario, there is no way he can make the cross court pass to Battier without it getting stolen. Moreover, while Novak is open, he is in motion and was chaotic on the court. Not a high percentage shot.

Rafer took bad shots last night and ran a mediocre offense. There is no mistaking it. But he is not as bad as many people make him out to be.

The best thing for the Rafer would be to have a solid backup. We don't have that. Head is not that. VSpan may be, but it will take time.

I for one, was and have been impressed with the way he handles pressure in full court situations. For me, it is a pleasure to watch him handle the ball in these situations. It also kills me when he forces shots when he's cold. But our primary concern isn't what he is or isn't doing, it's what's wrong with Tracy.

Why is Tracy passing up big shots at the end of games and sending it to scrubs? Why is Tracy forcing 20 ft. perimiter shots when he is ice cold? Why is Tracy getting blocked at the rim (twice) as he goes weak to the hole?

If Tracy is playing well, Rafer isn't shooting as much as he is. My thought is that he has told the players he is not right and asking them to look for their shot. Rafer is just accomodating him. (yes, a little too much)

Stop right there. If both Tmac and Yao are dominating. We are a force without doubt. Rafer and other scrubs really dont matter. We are talking about scrubs because our two superstars (esp one of them) are not getting it done in the 4th qtr.

on the play where barbosa splits the trap on the pick-n-roll, i have no idea how you can pin that on rafer. rafer did what he was supposed to do when he rotated into the paint to pick up novak's man when novak left to help out on b arbosa. the problem is that there is really no way for rafer to defend two guys if those two have good spacing, which they did. all barbosa had to do was look rafer off onto one of them, and get the ball to the other.

if anything, it was chuck hayes fault for over-agressveness on the attempted trap, allowing barbosa to split and break down the rest of the defense.

    火箭的防守并不好,至少离活塞、马刺这样的球队还是有很大差距,这个差距主要就体现在两个方面:

    1、对组织者的压迫性不够;

    2、防守挡拆能力太差,尤其是姚明,在面对对手中锋出来做挡拆掩护时,完全是束手无策。即使是在体力好的时候,姚明扑出来压迫下持球者,然后换其他火箭队员防守,自己赶紧回身追防自己的盯防对象……这种防挡拆的办法很好吗?在过去的比赛里,我们屡次看见,只要姚明防谁,谁就出来做挡拆,带动姚明反复的跑位,直到姚明体力急剧下降为止。可以说,如果火箭很好的解决了这个问题,那么,姚明的场均得分再涨一下也是很正常的,因为他进攻时的体力会更好些

Cool - I'm going to look for a Pakistani bbs that breaks down Rockets possessions and gives in-depth analysis. Then we can compare them.

Zach Kang, you are free to make your own point but you should not use other people's snapshots, esp when the original writer has marked and made analysis by those screen shots. You can use your own screen shots or you should at least request permission from the original writer.

The original article has way more insights and better analysis (very different indeed) then Zach Kang did IMO.

I suggest mod to lock this thread.

That would have been a pretty stupid pass if he made it to whoever was in the corner. Looks like the pass would have to have gone by 4 defenders and rafer isnt the tallest the person on the court so he cant make the same passes tmac is able to. And it looks like he got a decent look at the shot too.

 I am really mad when I read this post.

Zach Kang stole these screen shots from a poster in a chinese basketball forum. The original article, which I read just two minutes ago, is very insightful and unbiased.

Zach, you should know that this is plagiarism. Stealing a post may not bring you any punishment, but plagiarism could ruin your life. You should remember this for your own good.

He did say the source is from the other site, so he didnt plagiarize. He just tried to use the pictures to bash Rafer with his own words. All all you guys said he cap the pictures with his own words that are different from the orinal, so how can that be plagiarism?
I dont undestand why all the hate on Zach? This board is so black and white now. The mood swings from left to right, right to left. Zach apperantly still lives in yesterday's board's mood. Today's mood is Rafer is not all that bad.
And plagiarism doesnt ruin one's life. plagiarism that is caught ruins one's life. :D

Every plays are not going to be perfect, especially for a PG. Its much harder on the court to see open man when everyone is taller than u so at times mistakes happen. Last night we lost only because the team looked tired from the night before and on top of that we were playing Suns who are freakin roadrunners. Also in the 4th quarter we missed many wide open shots, 3 by rafer, 2 by battier, many by tmac....that was one of the main reasons why we lost as well.
