That's fresh. Why don't you start posting this in every thread on the entire BBS. We just haven't read it enough.

I don't even give a damn about his laziness anymore.

He has talent and scoring ability which we could really use at any time, not just in the playoffs.

I need to see him play at least 5-10 games before I can make an informed decision about whether he is useful to this team or not.

The people who judge bonzi on the 2 games he got spot minutes in don't know what they are talking about. You can't judge a player that fast. We all know what bonzi can do, and it takes more than 5 minutes of game time to show it.

Jeff should not be fired. The only reason he shouldnt is because there really isnt anyone to replace him with.

One question: How hard is it to just show up to practices, make the most of it, and lose a few pounds...all the while getting paid to do it?

His "I'm not here to run a marathon, I'm here to play" attitude is his downfall. If Wells would do what JVG asks of him, why wouldn't JVG play him? I am pretty sure Bonzi would be our starting 2 right now if he got his act together. Having a slower Bonzi out there right now basically makes everything harder on defense. It's already bad enough that we have players that are defensive sieves in Head, Howard, and Padgett, we don't need another one playing.

I know what Bonzi can do but I also know of the Bonzi that wore out his welcome in Portland and Memphis. And after losing all that Sacramento money, that old Bonzi is rearing his ugly head again.

I started this thread not to blame JVG, or imply that it's JVG's fault but to get some info on our big free agent signing. I mean, the guy should be in game shape right now and yet we haven't heard anything about why he hasn't been activated.

I'm kind of glad the drama going on behind closed doors is kept out of the media. We don't want that to be a distraction for our TEAM.

I agree. It indeed is agonizing not knowing the full details why Bonzi doesn't play but at this point its best to not even think of him as part of the team. If Bonzi is so bad and cancerous they'll do what they can to move him once its time to deal and possibly get information later.

Its more than Bonzi "just simply needs to get in shape to play" now, obviously. Many players in bad shape have been allowed a little time on the court to correct that. Totally not having a guy even travel with the team is a bit extreme, like Bonzi got grounded for 2 months. So its gotta be other stuff with it. So while Van Gundy's decision (agree with it or not, I'm still undecided) is the reason Bonzi doesn't see court time, its on Bonzi for being....Bonzi I guess. Which is, not a professional prepared player like the others.

why should fans pay to see the roxs at home when the organization won't give a status or time-table on Bonzi playing. I say boycott the home games until they play bonzi or give an update...starting with the rowdies. This would never happen....but if it did....JVG would talk.

I sooooo agree with this, it is team's most desperate need (along with a PG and a PF which has been the case for how many years?). The Rockets have become "the nice guys club." They are all very likeable, but we need a manibal, a bionic Bob Sura. Desperately. The little pilot lights of motivation that burn within Ming and TMac sometimes barely flicker.

Kobe had 52 points, which included a 30-point quarter. He's back to form it seems.

T-Mac, currently, is not even on the top ten list of swingmen in the league.

    Wade
    Lebron
    Kobe
    Redd
    Carmelo
    Pierce
    Joe Johnson
    Paul Pierce
    Vince Carter
    Rip Hamilton

These guys are all playing better. He is not passing much better than these guys. T-Mac is putting up a 2 to 1 asst/to ratio, which is average in his career. He's shooting a poor % everywhere. He should be getting 22-23 ppg for the amount of shots he's taking. He should be going to the line more.

It's time to make this guy accountable for his poor play. At this point, I feel the Rockets should look into trading him. He's not the same player as he used to be, but he doesn't want to admit it. That's fine if the league believes it. But handing out one more assist than usual, served up with one mroe TO, makes no difference. It doesn't make up for his piss-poor scoring.

The thing that bothers me is that I am willing to stick with him and wait for him to get through this phase. But the problem is, he doesn't think it's a phase. He thinks he's playing great. He thinks that he has sacrificed some scoring for passing, when he's sacrificed a boatload of scoring, for a very insignificant amount of passing. He thinks he should be taking that many J's, and not driving that much. You can't solve a problem if you don't realize it in the first place. He needs a real shaking up.
