I am happy we won and all, but i think tomorrow is going to be a disaster :(

Two banged up tired stars, crappy production from guards facing good d from bell and get skooled by nash...

Seriously, with one ridiculous one-liner's like the above quote, I'm starting to think that you are Clyde Drexler

Tommorrow Rox against Suns...Hope Yao can change the game style. Alston is not the answer for PG, VSpan should play more time tomorrow, he is the correct person to stop Nash.

Aren't we are still 1-4 against teams .500 or better?

The next month is when things on this team get interesting. It's a pretty rough schedule:

at Phoenix, Cleveland, Golden State,at Minn., at Charlotte, at Wash., Lakers, at GS, at Lakers, at Clipps, at Portland, at Spurs, Clips, at Pacers, at Nets, Hawks, and we finish out the month with the Grizz.

    Heh,

Yeah, but I am not talking about Rafer, I still don't like him that much at the point, but in JVG's offense he is a glorified 3pt shooting guard that just happens to bring the ball up.

This team could really, REALLY use a Kenny Smith type of PG....then it would really take off.

I do believe that Rafer is an average guard at best, and would be better suited as a backup, and I love V-SPan but think he is no where near ready to assume that role. I would like to see him get some PT at the point, to get rid of his tenativeness.

As for my bi-polar posting style, I do get upset when the team loses, and think they could be even better than 10-4, IMHO, three of the losses were very winnable, specifically the Spurs and NO/OK games.

When I step back from the emotions of the moment, I see that the chemistry is developing on this team, and feel that they really like playing with each other, and Battier and Hayes are the glue that makes it all work.

The team's defense is not just good, it is OUTSTANDING, we are 3pts a game below what the next best defensive team averages...THREE, that is monumental.

Now if we could just get a PG that can hit the 3pter consistently we would really take off.

For now, I will be happy with just wins, and having Rafer toss brick after brick but then hit the ones that matter in the 4th quarter.....(well sometimes)....

If only Luther had better handles.....

Also, I find it interesting that the commentators on league pass were saying that the reason that James is not playing more is that he is playing HORRIBLE defense. Which sort of shocked me, I think his confidence is pretty low right now.

Well, probably not much in this game, but Head has done quite a bit of cutting in this season. Besides, you forgot Snyder, although he was more of one-on-one type. I'd like to see Battier operate a bit more in the paint. He needs to work on his hook shot. The releasing point is kind of low, sometimes the shots get blocked. Overall, Hayes is best among the cutting bunch. I really like the kid.

I saw another poster comment on our miserable mid-range 2-pointer shooting. Indeed, it becomes a dying breed for the Rockets, especially when Howard's shooting touch deteriorates by the day. I mean c'mon, can't any guards or forwards, besides TMac, shoot some 2 pointers? How is that any more difficult than shooting 3s?

    TMAC: 8 points?

TMac is passing up great shots after he's beat his man. Getting everyone else involved in the offense is great, but he should take shots if they're open. I'd rather have TMac from 15 feet and closer taking a shot than Rafer from 26 feet.

Hey, I like our defense as much as the next lunatic. But this stat reeks to me of "easy schedule."

Can anybody run the numbers on each team that has played us and how many points they scored on us as opposed to the points they scored on other teams? That would clear things up a bit.

I agree.............................tmac is playing like he is lacking confidence in his game............hopefully he comes around, because the new "non aggresive" version of tmac will not win us a playoff series

Please MacMan, three dots in lieu of an uncertain punctuation mark are good enough here. There is no need to drag on.

You had better check with the stats; he is 4/14. What do you expect him to do? Miss 6 more to make it 4/20???? Yao has taken only 15 shots in the game.

FG% and even better e-FG%, as well as O-PPS are better markers--because they are less influenced by pace. Orlando has been the best so far in the first two, SA in the last. But we are close. I like both to further improve with Hayes/Snyder/Wells in the fold, our 3 point D is a weakness, quicker forwards and longer guards would help.

great win! This team is exciting, and going to be extremely dangerous. Barring serious injury of course.

I don't like McGrady's shooting woes thus far. I was giving him a month but his shooting looks worse every game. I' am starting to get concerned with him because of now, this is a fantastic team destined to make the playoffs and make some noise. Even if McGrady continues his shooting woes BUT this team is NOT a serious contender for the championship unless his percentage goes us up and he's at least giving us 18-22 pts a game.

Too bad, Yao just got 15 shots while Alston took 4-15 and L. Head took 3-12 as PGs

    Battier is great

I was wondering about the Big Mac promotion deal that the rockets have- does everyone get a free Big Mac with every home win - or is it like the past where we get a Big Mac if we score over 100 or hold the opponent under 80?
