No, the problem is you can't start someone who is not on your active roster. Right now, it shows you are starting D. Huard, yet you dropped him and he is not on your roster. You have to replace him before the start of the games. Which you really need to anyways cause T. Green is starting in his place for KC this week.........
Rocketball, all what had to be said was that I didn't set my schedule up after I picked up T. Green. Now that I see how I f'd up....it's more clear.
Isn't that exactly what I said..................I'm not understanding why you seem upset at me about, heck I even put Green in your line-up, cause I figured that is what happened........ Here it is all I said: I believe you should be upset at someone else......
Quick question for everyone, I had The Greek send me an email prior to the games to insert C. Palmer into his starting line-up instead of Plummer, which I didn't read until after the game. However, it's after the game is it fair to change it now? I want to ask cause I don't want everyone jumping down my throat for making changes....... UPDATE: Smeg you get to be back in charge next year, this part is no fun.......I just enjoy playing these games with everyone win or lose. but it seems like everyone gets upset over everything, now the Greek is upset because his line-up wasn't changed (not sure why he couldn't do it), but if I change it now, you'll be upset cause he is playing you. Either way I lose and not sure anymore what the right thing is to do.............so next year, you get it and I just want to play and have fun..................win or lose.......... Cause last I check this was not life or death.................
Smeg, The right thing to do is put C. Palmer in his line-up since he did leave me a message prior to the game, which I should have checked. Like I said this is a no-win situation for me, but the right thing to do. It seems this season for some reason I have p'od just about everyone, even Sam wants to quit now. I apologize for everyone and hopefully everybody plays next season, will put Smeg back in charge - cause this has always been a great league. Everyone is always active and having fun, till I think I took over . After the way the draft went, I should have known where I was headed............ Heck, even at 500 and probably not making the playoffs, I've had fun.......
Fade, We probably should just hand you the trophy this year, your team continues to throw up a sick amount of points, unbelievable!!! And with our little rivalry, you know that kills me to say...........
Nah, sorry for making an issue for you. I wasn't playing nWo, in fact it would have benefitted me if he beat you (because my once-brilliant team is heading quickly to the crapper and needs all the help it can get to make the playoffs). I just felt strongly about that issue, as I know you and fade both do. In hindsight, nWo didn't even mean to exploit that lineup bug. I don't think we'll have a problem with it in the future. You've done a great job as commish, don't get down on yourself or take this stuff too seriously. I just like talking smack with you guys, win or lose.
Sam, I appreciate it.........I agree with ya, suppose to be fun and I still am enjoying it a lot. I've always enjoyed in playing in these leagues (baseball, basketball, football) more than any, especially with players like yourself, Fade, Finn, Smeg and the rest. Not going to giveup, except possibly the commish title, after all it is called Smeg's Fantasy Footy for a reason.... As far as your team goes, you definitely have been killed lately by the injury bug, your line-up looks more like an infirmary report than a fantasy team (I mean how many red crosses can you have next to youre players names), and McNabb going down could be the nail. Granted the way Fade's team is playing it may not matter, at least you should make the playoffs, which appears Jent will take that 6th seed and final spot from me, unless a miracle happens.
As long as Greek e-mailed you before the games started, I see no reason why you can't accomodate his change. I made similar changes for people in baseball all the time.
this has got to be the worst I've ever done in fantasy football. Both QBs i drafted worth less than **** and now I'm screwed because Torry Holt suddenly can't put up 4 points.
What's the deal with locking the lineups on Thursday? Ray Lewis went through a full practice on Friday. I want to put him in my lineup for Sunday's game (in place of Sean Taylor). Also Willis McGahee practiced Friday and most likely will start for the Bills. I wish to take A-Train out of my lineup and put Brandon Jacobs in his place. Why is this not allowed?
Hey need to start looking at putting together the playoff brackets, since we have only 1 week left in the season. Everybody gave input on the tiebreakers (which I was so glad to hear ), but not on the exact playoff format - so I want to make sure you want to go with it or want any changes. Currently, I put the top 6 teams to make the playoffs (which will be weeks 14, 15 and 16), causing 2 teams to have byes the first week - which really is kind of dumb, the more I think about it. So, we can leave it that way or make 8 teams in the playoffs seeded accordingly, no byes or 4 teams with the championship game being two weeks. I think the 8 probably sounds more realistic, but I'll let you guys decide. Once again, I apologize but that's what happens when you take over right before the draft - kind of going on the fly. Will definitely more organized and structured next year.......... So let me know as soon as you can..................either way will put together some type of toilet bowl bracket so everyone can play along a little bit longer.........
not fussed whether it is 6 or 8, probably go with 6 if I had to choose and damn Jent 175 points.... is that some sort of record
You said six, so stick with six. Don't go changing things now. Having 8 teams make the playoffs in a 12 team league would be crazy. I'd actually prefer 4 teams because I like keeping playoffs small, but you have to go with 6 and byes because that's what was stated earlier.
You guys this just a fun game, it wasn't like I we are playing for cash or am asking you to change scoring rules midstream......... . Changing the playoff format that was just mentioned last week or so, not set at the very beginning I don't think would mess with anyones strategy. Bottom line you still have to win the remaining of your games, to be the champion.....so it shouldn't matter if it is 4, 6, or 12 teams in the playoffs.......it's just win, baby. The reason for bringing this up is after talking with other people and seeing how other leagues run, the bye week really is ridiculous.....heck, you want to play not sit out a week, especially if you have a winning/doiminating team. So by adding 2 celler dwellers or subtracting 2 (which may not be the fair alternative, since we already mentioned 6) is not the end of the world and everyone gets to play.............but I digress...... You guys make the call............... I have to go back to my happy place..........
Still think 8 team playoffs is crazy. Looking over the current standings, theoretically, under those terms a team with a 4-8 record could make the playoffs, get abnormally hot and end up winning the championship. Losing teams shouldn't be rewarded with a playoff berth. A first round bye is a nice bonus reward for winning your division. It happens in real life sports, so why not in fantasy? Stay with 6 teams. If it must be changed, go with 4. Definitely not 8.
