Kubiak is too conservative. Doesnt trust the offense at all. In fact, he is more conservative than that palmer guy. Last 3 games he has shown the worst of it. He tried to run out the clock all game the last 2 games, which we lost so closely. He didnt try at all to increase the lead. His coaching vs the bills was horrible especially on the last 2 drives of the game. Today he was extremely conservative once again. On offense he kept goin for short passes and never made a big play. On 3rd and 4 he goes for the 2 yard pass? I know its carr throwing the ball but its kubiak that is making him throw short. He deserves a lot of the blame for our failures.

Shanahan is pulling plummer in favor of Cutler. Parcells pulled Bledsoe for Romo. Kubiak needs to pull Carr. It is time.

If it was simply a QB issue, something would/could have been done by now. Its a combination of many things, the QB being one of them.

i wish I had hung the Xmas lights out during the game. it was horrible watching that. Nothing is more maddening than seeing 1 and 2 yard passes.

The ONLY positions that are up to par are the MLB and WR spots. Every other position is upgradeable. That's sad. Most of C&C's work though. Can't blame this regime.

We don't have a young stud like Jay Cutler or Tony Romo waiting in the wings here. There is a reason Sage is a career backup.

We really didn't know what kind of play caller Kubiak was or how much control he had of the offense, Shanahan is the mastermind and the play caller. Kubiak has to be conservative because he has a bad QB he can't trust and zero running game.

Young stud like Tony Romo? The guy is an undrafted 26 year old from Eastern Illinois.

Sage is probably not the solution. But why not try something different? We *know* this team sucks with Carr. We repeat the same terrible offense game after game. They aren't improving. Why not at least see if the offense looks different with someone else as QB? Really, what do we have to lose?

Every body knew Tony Romo was a special player waiting in the wings, and i agree that we need to try something else now and Carr needs to be benched permantly, I'm trying to say that it's time we get a young stud of our own for the future, to sit and watch behind Sage. ie Brady Quinn or Troy Smith.

Neither IMO were as good as the QB options last year. Had the #1 pick and 3 top flight QB prospects for any taste (phenom athlete-thrower-winner, polished-winner, cannon/traditional tool QB). The time for big change was last year.

Got to roll with Carr at this point. Draft some later flyers (Romo) if you want. QB is not the most obvious positions to fix on the Texans.

Why? We know the offense sucks with Carr. Through 10 games, he has shown ZERO signs of improving. In fact, he's regressed as the season has gone on. Why are people afraid of trying something different? Can the offense really be much worse?

There's no reason the team can't play it's backup QB like any number of other teams and/or go get a free agent QB in the offseason.

Couldnt agree more. I mean it's not like there's playoff implications involving this decision compared to Denver. LOL. Playoffs ... what are those oh yeah the time of year that the Texans are like the unwanted, uninvited guest to The Party and all they can do is watch from afar.

Anyway, I digress lets try to get some momentum from somewhere, anywhere because Carr is providing zero energy, zero momentum and zero confidence from his peers on this football team. They need a leader and oh well ... you know the rest of the story on this. Blablabla!

yeah his rating is high but he's throw short little passes  and some games are BLOW OUT! so he's just padding the stats.

you really think that will save us? We've seen what Sage can do when the defense is back in prevent.....(carr did the same thing), and we've seen him as bad as Carr.

There are many problems with this team....

I really believe that we have yet to see what this type of offense can do when it is utilized properly. The Texans have a 6th round pick (Lundy), Gado (who hasn't impressed me or anyone for that matter) and Ron "Ridin' the Pine" Dayne. The run is the integral part of the offense. When the Texans have no running game the offense doesn't move well and we can't go deep as the Jets defense showed us today.

This team isn't going to make significant improvements in one year. C&C left this team with holes big enough to drive buses through and the lack of depth is astonishing. Carr is shell-shocked and checks down too often, that said he has gotten better this year. The OL looks better than years past and would probably be doing better if Spencer had not gotten injured. The DL needs someone who can get that strong push up front (Alan Branch anyone?) and help break up the pocket and stuff the run. The secondary is atrocious. Faggins doesn't need to start he is a nickel DB at best. The safeties are hard hitting but get beat too often. D-Rob is the only DB pulling his weight. We still need a good SLB and WLB (Orr and Greenwood are backups at best) as we're set in the middle with DeMeco Ryans (DROY!).

With another good offseason (draft and FA) this team is going to get better and not come out flat like today's and last week's games.

So you dont think we should at least going into next season make Sage the starter draft another this time REAL QB perhaps Quinn, Smith or more likely Kolb (probably could get him in 2nd). It's just I am beginning to wonder if we are EVER going to be good enough. I know the cupboard was left bare by the previous idiotic regime, but the cover 2 is like kryptonite for us. I mean sh*t we cant do a damn thing! It's unbelievable!!!

Just because the offense sucks doesn't mean it's automatically the QB's fault. Our rushing game had 25 yards or so and 10 of those were from Carr. NY was using a 3 man rush, how is anybody supposed to be open downfield against that? I'm not going to say Carr played amazing, but he wasn't bad. There is no point to playing Sage because he is not a long term solution there.

Kubiak is playing his hand the best he believe he can. Carr is simply not a guy that can consistently place the ball well in a vertical game. When tries, the INCs and INTs pile up. Kubiak's keeping him reined in, which means dink and dink and dink passing.

Carr doesn't suck, but he is what he is. What he isn't is a guy that can throw the team on his back and win games. At his best, he can be a part of a good day, but you can't depend on him to bring you back from behind.
