1 Dirk Nowitzki: 30.20 2 Yao Ming: 28.17 3 Zach Randolph: 28.08 4 Kevin Garnett: 27.85 5 LeBron James: 27.73 http://www.knickerblogger.net/stats/2007/jh_ALL_PER.htm I imagine Dirk/Yao/LeBron to battle it out for the reason. The PER rating could be also a good indicator for MVP race.
Say what you will about stats not meaning as much as intangables, but the PER stat is the true measure of a superstar in the NBA.
IF he can keep his play up. It's a wonderful surprise nonetheless. Never thought he'd be so high up there, given that his rebounds numbers are just very good, and not great yet, and his assists aren't much either.
I'm nearly positive that Yao won't be a serious contender for the MVP this season. He SHOULD be but the sports writers that vote on it still don't take Yao seriously.
very true. Yao will not be taken untill he brings a championship, even he plays very well, and the stats are fabulous. There are always people who don't like him. Ridiculous!
If you are putting up 25 an 10 while shooting 48 percent from the field and 85 percent from the charity stripe, you are sure playing like one.
