Bullard sent to Charlotte with a Mission In a conversation overheard at Wholefoods between Rudy T. and CD while in the organic legume section, it was learned that Matt Bullard was assigned a secret mission to convince all non-white players of the Charlotte Hornets to seek a sign and trade with other teams. Particular members of the Hornets, such as PJ Brown and Elden Campell, are leaning toward Houston as an ideal destination. It was confirmed in a quote by PJ Brown later that day. "I ain't playin' for these WASP's no more."
Honestly, I say Cato in McDonalds on Westheimer by Dairy Asford He told me that is trying to get out of houston because he doesn't feel he is appreciated. He said he was tired of all the bull**** on the radio and certain websites. I said Clutch City. He got excited and said YEA YEA THAT'S THE ONE . . bunch of b*stards. That is when he went into a tirade talking about himself in the third person. KEvin Cato got fire. . . Kevin cato knows what is best for Kevin Cato and If Kevin Cato plays Kevin Cato style basketball . . .then Kevin Cato is unstoppable. After he calmed down he said he wanted to go somewhere east . . like Cleveland or Memphis. . . where folx don't have such high expectations He asked me my nick on there. . . I was hesitent but i told him He start trying to think . . I told him I'm the one that calls him Kevin Craddle cause he big f*cking baby. Needless to say he wasn't happy. He rolled his eyes at me and then put his pacifier back in his mouth . . .took his happy meal and went home. Rocket River
Heard this from a VERY reliable source: Rudy and CD have been working out Rebecca Lobo. "She still can shoot the outside shot, and mixes it up underneath better than we thought she could" said and excited Rudy T. "She has not only held her own, but has outplayed the likes of David Robinson, Bo Outlaw and Moses Malone in pick up games at Fonde. The thing that really impressed us," added CD "is her talent for rebounding. There is no one on our current roster that rebounds as good as Rebecca." Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley have also taken notice of Rebecca's talent. "I think she is just what this team needs" said Rocket's MVP Steve Francis. Mobley added "With Rebecca and EG in the middle of our zone, teams will have no choice but to shoot from the perimeter."
More on the acquisition of Lobo. CD is quoted as saying, "We feel that Rebecca or El Lobo as she likes to be called fits in great with the 'wolfpack' of Steve and Cat and brings back college memories for Kenny. Besides, she is quite the workhorse." bold mine
I don`t know if this is the right thread but I`m from germany and the european championship will start in about 3 hours ´with Dirk Nowitzki and Shawn Bradley in our team. Just some minutes ago, there was an interview with Dirk, mostly about Championship and their opponents but in the end the reporter asked about the big deals for Carter and Jamison and if he would sign a big contract as well, and Nowitzki answered that he is probably going to stay in texas for a long time. The reporter asked a second time if he is going to sign that contract with dallas and Nowitzki didn`t say anything for at least 6 or 7 seconds and while going away he said something like I can`t talk about this right now. I am really excited because I think he was just too honest to say something untrue and there aren`t that many texan teams in the nba.
Steinbrenner to buy the Rockets. I've got friend who works for the Yankee-Nets. He called me this morning to let me know that Steinbrenner is actually a big Houston fan, and he is trying to divest himself of the terrible Nets and acquire the Rockets. He was apparently overheard saying..."Cuban my ass. Nobody spends money like The Boss."
I heard that they were trying to recruit her for the Knicks a few years back . . . but Eqing nixed it says she had too many teeth . . . and he was heading back to the Gold Club. Rocket River ok ok that one was a bit bad
CD was talking to Moses Malone at westside last thursday evening, Moses is close to signing a comeback deal at the minimum. Note: Moses tore up Collier and Cato in a half court game. Moses will only play if he can play half court (prefers the defensive end)
My inside sources have informed me that Robert Barr has been working out lately with Jack Haley. From this indication, Dennis Rodman will not be far behind. It's pretty obvious that where ever you might find Jack Haley, you'll probably be able to find his lips and Dennis' a$$. Could you imagine the pick-and-roll game with Jack and Manute with Dennis to pick up the garbage. We really should also try to get Gheorghe Muresan and Mark Eaton in for some tryouts too.
Rockets get riddy of Ruddy, hire ZRB as new head coach (AP) In a surprise development, the Houston Rockets have terminated Rudy Tomjanovich's tenure as head coach of the Houston Rockets. Tomjanovich, who's coaching tenure was second in the NBA to Jerry Sloan of Utah, said he was "shocked and dismayed at this abrupt move." While the Rockets organization was officially mum on the subject, one insider agreed to speak on the condition of anonymity. "Rudy just didn't get us over the top these last few years. Les thinks that he's been stunting the growth of Kelvin Cato. " ZRB, a relative unknown, is expected to introduce a frenetic "manic depressive post-up" offensive set to be complimented by his patented "schizophrenic zone" defense. When asked if his substitution patterns would differ from RT's oft-critiqued rotations, ZRB responded "they'll be unpredictable." During the press conference announcing his hiring, ZRB also said "I think we'll have a great year. Unless we're really horrible. In fact, I think we're going to lose every game. Unless I manage to trade Steve Francis to Toronto for Hakeem. Then we'll go 82-0." Some observers, however, don't buy into the new euphoria. Rockets03, avowed baskeball fan and bbs geek was quoted as saying, "ZRB? Head coach of the Rockets? I blame clutch for ignoring my petition. Damn troll."
ZRB replaces interim head coach Bill Worrell, who now will take over for the recently fired Larry Dierker. In his first move as head coach, Zero, as his players affectionately call him, traded Walt Williams and sign and trade Moochie Norris to Golden State for Mookie Blaylock and Marc Jackson. The deal was vetoed by new NBA commisioner Dan Fegan as being too realistic and for not having any money wired into his account.
