Which Rocket is the best at penetrating/blowing his man by?

    The Rockets are facing Gilbert Arenas tonight, who is of course quick and able to take his man off the dribble. The league rules are also changed to promote more penetration among players.

    My question is: Do the Rockets have a great penetrator who can blow his man by?


    TMac was great at it, but he seems to only do it sporadially now. Even when he does drive, he seems to do more finesse moves than power dunks. Rafer has decent speed and good handles, but he isn't much for finishing, Head has a few decent moves, too, but certainly no Arenas/Lebron or even Ben Gordon.

    Somehow, the opponent seems to penetrate Rockets more than the Rockets penetrating the opponent. It seems to be a problem for the Rockets to not be able to take advantage of the new rules.

    Is Spanoulis the best penetrator on the team? Don't have enough evidence to tell yet, but he appears to be quick, and blew Marbury by last night (missed layup, Yao dunked). JVG did say Span brought additional penetration.

    I would have to say that Bonzi Wells would be the best at penetrating and blowing men, but that's only because I can't stand that fat slug-like piece of crap.

    Kirk Snyder can blow by many defenders, unfortunately, he doesn't have the handles to maintain control of the ball all the way to the hoop.

    I just now took the time to actually read the thread title. With Van Gundier as the thread starter, I am 99% sure this thread was nothing more than a decent job of planting a humor claymore and waiting for someone to hit the trip wire.

    That "by" is horribly misplaced and me thinks Van Gundier knows it.

    Sure, but the Rockets do need more penetration.

    Seems like every other decent team is taking advantage of the new rules while the Rockets don't have any great consistent penetrators.

    t-mac still gets by anyone pretty much at will. vspan is pretty much right up there with him. we haven't seen much of him but his ability to get to the basket looks unbelievable.
