What purpose does it serve? I would if you could tell me what it does....can we chat with each other through our Wii's? Can we play Wii sports online against each other?

lol, I'm not home, but I'll add your number once I'm home. You can send messages, send your Mii, check out the Mii parade, should have all of your friends Mii's listed there if they sent you one. It's a cheesy little feature, but I think Nintendo will be coming out with some games that use your Mii like in Wii Sports.
Gezz at some point I really hope video game company stop this trend that started with the PS2 and just make enough freaking systems for the masses
One of the things that is goign to suck about the Wii is their going to release a redesigned wiimote in a year with built in rechargable (lithium?) battery. Everyones going to go apes over it and Nintendo will make another killing off accessories.... Nintendo is so smart, following Ipods footsteps to making $$$ off accessories. I guess you could say Nintendo is the gaming console version of the mp3 player ipods.
I HIGHLY recommend the Wii. It's really entertaining. I played Wii Sports last night over at my friend's house and man, it's really fun. Right now, I'd take a Wii over a PS3 or 360 any day.
Ditto. Wii Sports is fun, very simple, and meant to get a taste of what can be utilized. My wife and I played for hours already, and are both a little sore...go figure. I've been playing Zelda all day today.
