did they teach Yao cuss words?? if I were him, I would kick Nate's a$$ with one eye.. I would just slap him or something, kick him in sensitive areas.. then, I would go the official and go: "what the **** do u think you are doing?, didn't u see that the ****in midget hit me in the ****in eye?? **** you man.. how the **** did u become an official?? are u ****in blind??? give a technical you dumba$$, and make sure u call blow your ***** whistle when they foul me next time ok ??" I know that he wont have a chance to say this whole thing, but just cuss at him at least.. please... let him know that next time they dont give him easy calls like that, he's gonna make a big thing out of it... or just after the game, make a press conference and show everybody your scars and injury spots.. get some videos of hard fouls that weren't called on u and show them to everybody... I mean, what are they gonna do?? fine him?? I am pretty sure 25000 isn't that much for him...
Its a foul but according to Kenny Smith its excusable cuz he is 5"9". Smith was really annoying last night.
Great timing by Nate, gotta give him props. Yao just didn't expect anyone to challenge him, especially little Nate. By the way, they're about to talk about Yao on ESPN's 1st and 10 show. I'll post it on youtube if it's any good.
They showed it on Cold Pizza this morning. Then they talked about how Yao just doesn't have the toughness required to play in the NBA (even though he's averaging 27/10). The guy came to this conclusion because, as he said, he watched the WHOLE game against San Antonio.
I can't believe people are trying to make excuses by calling that a foul. Letting a guy who is almost 2 feet shorter than you block your shot is pathetic! Serves Yao right for going up so weak with the ball. Don't get me wrong, I'm no Yao hater, I think he's the best center in the NBA right now, but let's not make lame excuses for the dude. Yes, it was a tremendous effort by Nate, but there's no way in hell Shaq ever gets rejected by little man like that. Yao will never live this down no matter how successful he is in the future.
Which guy on Cold Pizza made that comment, Skip Dickless or Woody? Skip is the biggest douche in the business.
you might have a point here.. I would really like to see Yao be more aggressive (not in his overall game, but in finish NEAR the basket)... but I think an important thing is that he didn't get enough rest yesterday and people guarding him were getting away with murder... they fouled him on almost every single play but fouls were rarely called.. and u gotta remember that a center can endure physical punishment down low to a certain level, after that, fatigue comes in and affects your whole game.. I really think Yao was exhausted and that's why he didn't dunk that ball... we really miss Chuck Hayes... his absence is allowing Defense to collapse on Yao and wear him down..
Does this help put it any more into perspective? [/imagehttp://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/sp/getty/9b/full.getty-[/image]
Yeah I just saw "First and 10" on ESPN and they were talking about that block also. Woody was going on and on defending Yao saying he's still learning and getting better each day. Skip then said Yao doesn't have the mean streak to ever be real good blah blah. and Something along the lines he will never lead the Rockets to a Championship. [This sort of sets his line of whether Yao is 'successful or unsuccessful', he'll only awknowledge Yao if he gets his championship..] Thats how I took it. Anyway the dumb chick who was mediating concluding that segment with her own final words. Saying out of all the major categories Yao is only in the Top 5 in one -- Turnovers @ 4 a game.. This relaly ticked me off.. Like these guys really GOING OUT OF THEIR WAY to make Yao look bad.I don't understand why they try SO HARD to make Yao look bad Yao's OUtstanding FT%, Very Nice FG %, Top ten in Points, Solid Rebounding #s, Solid in Blocks, All the while less foul trouble, more minutes, and better decision making(less stupid turnovers).. Atleast 1 of those TO per game is ridiculous charging fouls by the refs
A foul is a foul whether it was caused by a 7'6" stiff like Shawn Bradley or a midget. Read the NBA rules before making childish post, rookie.
We all know that when a little guard blocks a bigger player they will get the benefit of the doubt especially if it is Yao. I am just the Rockets won the game. Yao will have the last laugh once he wins a Championship.
I'd have to disagree with that. If it was Shaq taking that same shot, there is no way he could just continue to power his way to the basket with a 180 pound man sitting on the ball. He's strong, but he's not that strong. Nate got to the right spot before Yao did and made a good (if not clean) block. That's it. The only thing you could fault Yao for might be that he didn't see it coming and change his shot.
I don't know why they like making Yao look bad. Top 5 in Turnovers: 1. Kobe Bryant 4.8 2. Allen Iverson 4.4 3. Carmelo Anthony 4.2 4. Dwyane Wade 4.2 5. Yao Ming 4.0 9. Tim Duncan 3.5 9. Dwight Howard 3.5 9. Shaquille O'Neal 3.5 If Yao had 3.5 and these other big man had 4.0 they would still make Yao look bad by mentioning he's in the Top 10 in Turnovers.
just dry sarcasm about posting anti-rocket highlights. i'm obviously not serious about you getting banned, come on.
