Hearing Matt Bullard makes we want good old Murph back every game. God Bullard is so bad. There is no chemistry between him and Bill. Anyone know what Calvin is up to? Any chance of him ever coming back?
I agree, i miss calvin! Bullard? Clyde is so badddd. Him and his nothing but net, when it clearly hits the rim....lol
I miss Calvin too and I think its BS they didn't give him his job back after he was found innocent by the judicial process. Listening to Bullard make r****ded, cringe-worthy 'pop' culture references that Bill doesn't understand is pretty terrible. I mean, Matt Bullard is not a bad guy - he's a just kinda lukewarm and lame. Calvin Murphy is a vibrant personality with a lot of love for basketball and a unique way of delivering his opinion. The ultimate factor tho, is how Calvin and Bill interact with one another - it would always kill me when Calvin would make Bill crack up. Anyhow, the guy was found innocent and I think most people and true Rockets fans in particular would definitely embrace his return.
calvin's whole deal was very unfortunate... too bad he's still not on the air... it was nice to have someone a little out of the norm on the broadcast team
I actually got used to Bull and Clyde.. but of course, I enjoy Clyde more.. Clyde was kinda annoying (he still is, as a matter of fact), but he is actually entertaining too..!! I really got used to him and i enjoy laughing at him about once a game.. Bill: Yao totally dominated the game today Clyde Clyde: absolutely.. not only that, he also dominated the game Bill.. Bill: Motumbo wit the huge block Clyde: NOT IN MY HOUSE..
if they cant bring back Murph, I say they bring back coach Chancellor.. I really liked Van Chancellor , he was really great... his analysis was unbelievable.. it was really good.. he actually used to guess what the play will be... he will go: "watch Mcgrady and Juwan on the high pick and roll" before they even get back on the court from the timeout... that's not mentioning his cool accent..
I'm not lucky enough to live in Houston anymore...I saw last nights game on the NBA League Pass and watched the NY Knick broadcast. The commentator was none other than former Rocket guard Kenny Smith. He was funny...he was mispronouncing half the guys names. After he said he couldn't say V-span's name...he refered to him as "Shoeless" once and "Spa-nose" too. When he said "quintessential"...I fell off the couch laughing! We should and try and get Kenny...he's way better than Bullard or Drexler...I liked that hick that coaches the Comets too...I need a good laugh watching some of these games!
Chancellor > Ellie + Clyde + Bullard + TNT analysts + NBA Analysts + ESPN analysts and in analysis: Chancellor > Murph but in overall entertainment: Murph > Chancellor
