I love that song but i was wondering if anyone out there wh posesses the mixmaster skills to make a new one entitled ROCKETS: THE NEXT GENERATION or somthing like that.
And u call urself a senior member drewdawg? u don't know wut the rockets memory mix song is? All i'm asking is if there is someone out there who can make a new one with our new generation of players, or tell me how i can make one...
That's an interesting thought. Hmmmm....mind turning, brain clicking... Not a bad idea. I would imagine one thing it would require would be an awful lot of sound bites from the radio or tv broadcasts. If anyone has them, I could do a memory mix in pretty short order.
Jeff will never go hungry no matter how bad the economy goes. We'll all be set up at the corner of 6th and Congress begging for pocket change while he is cutting a deal with the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association for a million dollar commercial jingle or selling antiques in some tiny retirement community while running a vegetarian cafe on the side...... cha-ching. cha-ching. cha-ching. cha-ching.
Glad you like it.... it was fun doing it (that was over 3 years ago... geez). Since ESPN the Magazine wrote about it my brother lets me know fairly often it was actually his idea . I haven't messed with sound mixing much since but something may come about again...
Every once in a while when I'm too lazy to go into the living room to change my CD player (prefer stereo over computer) I will listen to that mix. I think I played it just a week or two ago. Clutch, did you ever get any nasty letters from Madonna's or the NBA's lawyers?
Oh crap, I probably just used enough keywords for the NBA's tort spiders, that crawl the web, to find you! Sorry
I always thought that mix was done by shotgun. What ever happened to him? HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN? Name: Shotgun Last Known Job: Sound sampler Wanted To: Sample more sounds
Say, Clutch, is it alright if i try to make a memory mix myself?? I'm not sur just yet because it depends on if i can find alot of audio clips but if i can would it be alright?
Yeah, as the legal agent of crutchcity.net, webmaster Crutch, and Star Truk I authorize you to create a "Next Generation" audio mix using any music currently available from the Capitul Records, A&N Records, and Virgin Rekords music catalogs. I also give you permission to use any broadcast material from the National Bascketball Association, as long as it is for the purposes of financial gain. Also, as a personal request, could you do something with the Beach Boyz. Just make sure you mention Mike Luv since he gets a little touchy when he doesn't receive the proper credit.
haha i'll try doc rob... i've got some good songs dled and ready to use but i'm having trouble finding in game audio clips... all i really can get is press conferences. if anybody can tell me where i can get som good clips or have them handy then that'd be cool. -MErlin
Good Songs To Use: Sugar Ray : Someday Dave Mathews Band: Space Between Us GNR: Sweet Child Of Mine R Kelly: I wish / I believe I can Fly Coolio: I'll see you when I get there Annie Lennox: Walking on Broken Glass Van Halen: Jump / Right Now The Enigma Song : ???
I vote for "I believe I can fly",it would be great.Maybe you can find pieces in the Your highlights section in NBA.com. You can look for the best plays in a rox game or maybe look for the courtside countdown and put the audio it brings with the play. If you do that you should defenitely put the francis block against toronto (I think it was to c.williamson), I just saw it recently and WOW
Ya, a new memory mix would be awesome! Especially since a new era of basketball for the Rockets has come. Maybe we can do a little fast song that represents the enthusiasm of our players, Francis & Mobley.
I say do the new memory mix song to the 1994 "Clutch City" song. Now THAT would be great! A tribute to a great old song that a lot of people aren't aware of, along with new sound bites? Huh? RIGHT!
Hey Cat is it possible to not only make a memory mix, but make it like a visual thing as well? I mean like having a video of the highlights while the song is playing so we can see it as well.
