Hey Mr. racist and the notorious JVGOF, I am not a JVG hater, and I am a YOF. But you are really annoying. Sad but true.

Back to the wall, now you resort to labelling. Seriously you are a clown.

Why posters in this thread have you identified to be YOFs?

I know a coward like you won't be man enough to answer this question again.

Do you think anyone believes you? You wouldn't want to put people on your ignore list because you want to defend yourself.

I asked you several times to put me on your ingore list, what did you say - "I won't put one on my ingore list unless he resorts to personal insults", and you refused to put me on your ingore list. If I couldn't make my way to your ignore list, you expect anyone to believe 11 people could have made it today?

Another proof of what you post is all B.S.

Get real. Do you really believe he put people on ignore list? He always says that when he's back to the wall in order to have the excuse not to respond to the tough questions.

I am actually up in the air about JVG.

I have no doubt that he is a studious coach who lives basketball.

However, I find him obtuse in his approach to change, and I think that ultimately will cause his team's to fail.

He is not flexible enough in recognizing players positive impact on the court. Sure, he can recognize that a 7'6" guy should be on the low post, and that Tmac needs to drive more often especially with today's rules.

But, it took him a YEAR to try a zone defense, and he still won't use it often enough, and it took him a YEAR to discover that Hayes needs to be on the court, and is a valuable player. He was playing RYAN BOWEN ahead of Hayes and that is mind boggling to me.

Not to mention that he has recognized that TMac needs to drive, but when team's double TMac and Yao in the 4th, he has not countered with another penetrating player to help take the pressure off and get open looks for the Rockets.

JVG is a good coach, but I don't think he is a great one.

Rudy T had faults, but IMHO, he would be getting more out of this cast of players than JVG.

wtf... did I predict the Yao pick in 1999 when I registered?

I've been a Rockets fan since the early 70's.

Trust me, you'd be EXTREMLY fortunate to make his ignore list. I asked him, short of begging him, to put me on his ignore list, yet he didn't grant my wish.

Don't trust anything that comes out that hole of his.

Assuming we're healthy, we'll see in the second half of the season. This team is already competitive, and when our starters got time on the court together in prior years under JVG they have improved noticably.

I was not a big fan of his when he arrived, and I'm still not a 'big' fan, but he has achieved enough for me to have confidence in what this team will accomplish. I have no worries.

I wasn't knocking you, I was agreeing with you on putting people on ignore. I was refering to the YOF who posted before me, not you...Sorry for the confusion.

I'm right in there with ya in terms of getting tired of all these anti-JVG threads and all the anger at the team for not being 25-0 after 10 games.

My worry is that he knows he is on the hot seat, and will become even more risk averse as he tries to get that new contract.

Which may lead to a warn out group of starters by year's end.

And he still has not countered the other team going small.....with a zone, or by putting in better perimeter defenders like V-Span.

Mr. Van Gundy has done an adequate to slightly-below job to date this season. (C, perhaps C-)

The Rockets are more talented than each of the next three opponents they face. A more talented team adequately coached (C-level) should beat a less talented one.

Add another "C" in the average and the grade stays at C to C-minus.

I just don't see JVG responding to a 'hot seat'. As I mentioned before, V-Span has some stats that would cause one to question his decision-making skills along with the obvious t/o issue. I hope that he can be a great defender w/i our team defense because he will see some court time much sooner.

Yes, but a lot of those turnovers were palming, and even more were where his teamates were not expecting the pass.

All of those things are corrected with playing time.
