I think half of that look comes from "How the F did this Fker ever earn 100 million dollar contract, F I'm underpaid".

Although I think Howard's a classy guy, seriously, his lost his ONLY weapon, the jumper.

If he can't make jumpers, you might as well put me out there, I am shorter than JL3, but I will be able to put up Howard's statline from tonight.

 

One comment: Get rid of Howard and get VSPAN playing TIME

Yao plays 35 mins this season so we need backup for 13 mins. Deke can play 8 to 10 mins max as defensive center, Howard? He doesn't even bother to jump when he was trying to block. We can use him as backup center.
We seriously need a legit backup center!
Instead of stocking too many point guards but not using them, we might need trade some of them for a center.

The chief problem with Yao's game is his turnovers....he's close to racking up some ignomious triple-doubles. Tonight was 8. he can talk about smarter basketball, but he's got to work on that. 3/4 I can live with. But 8 or 9 is negating a big chunk of what he does.

Other things about the Rockets is that hey - you are going to lose games folks. Welcome to the NBA. 10 games does not make a season. Nor does 20. If the Rockets are 12-8 in 10 games....I'm sure you'll all be screaming and calling for van gundy's head.

But you got to start living within the realiztic expectations that this team no matter who is going to coach it is not going to win every game. That's just not how it works. Right now, talent wise, people wise, chemistry wise - this isn't the best team in the division, it's the third best.

To move up, it's just going to take time. It's going to take time for people to learn to play together. It's going to take more time for Novack and VSPAN to figure it out. It won't happen until January or Feb...or even post-all star break.

So just watch and enjoy - instead of ripping on Howard or Padgett or Gundy - guys who bust their bottoms to try to help this team win.

 

Deke doesn't jump either friend. I wouldn't trade a good commodity for another junky big man........and that is what is out there to be traded. We should not trade a PG for a backup center. Foyle will probably available for the minimum in a little while.

We are not losing games because of our backup center. We are losing mostly because of our starting PF right now.

 

If you had started off with this part, I wouldnt have wasted time reading the parts before it.

Well........Yao Ming said it himself. He told the Chinese reporters that he had this small bug/bad habit in his footwork that got him into these travelling calls early in his career.

The referees had stopped calling them last season...but for some reasons, they started calling them on him. So that accounted at least 4 of his turnovers tonight.

 

How exactly has Juwan Howard been busting his bottom? Last time I checked, a starting poward forward scoring 0 points and plaing NO defense is LAZY

I will summarize yao's 4th Q clutch plays in over-15-shot games but I am still counting.

 

Poor offense plus impotent defense decide the loss. We talked too much on offense, how about defense which is our coach's favorite.. My question is WHY Ben Gordon or C billup scores so easily in the 4th quarter?(for both games)

 

it was a good game, we were in charge for most of the game after we had our run to comeback from 18-10 defecit. but we broke down in the 4th, they were getting wide open jump shots, i guess they adjusted, and we totally could not score at all. i think some of the turnovers could have been fouls. the shots we did get off were hurried and forced..i think we had this game and we should have won..we'll beat them next time

btw, the game seemed dull/boring, i think it's because of ch 51. the video quality isn't as good, and the sound is soft. but it's all good.

tmac played well in the beginning. that's good.

snyder, head, and deke came off the bench strongly.

finish was just bad. padgett didn't make any shots today, did he?

 

He made one shot. Howard didn't make any of his 4 shots.

 

It's frustrating to lose but there are so many positives to this season. We are freaking 6-4, that's after playing 6 of the 10 on the road, and against 3 of the teams that played in last years conference finals.

The Rockets have lots of new faces in addition to the first time T-Mac playing with a dominant Yao and trying to learn how to pick his spots to dominate. The same thing happened in 04-05 when T-Mac first got here. The Rox started 6-10 in November and ended up winning 54 games. Once all the roles are better defined, Bonzi starts coming off the bench, and the Rox start playing JVG defense consistenly, the W's will pour in.

With the exception of the first game of the season vs Utah, this team has played great for long stretches and led by double digit points in all the games. Rox will be fine!

 

Why we are 3 qtrs team?
No credit for bench. No defence in 4th qtr. No adjustments by JVG.

 

Dude, when we don't give the ball enough to yao. u complaint. he got all his shots tonight + ft.. what more can u ask for? even tmac shot well...

 

if they changed the game to 3 quarters instead of 4, we'd be the best team EVER
