Nah, I believe in Utah this season - good team, good bench, good coach. One thing I am 100% sure is that Utah will make the playoff this season.

    Good point...

There has NEVER been a big man (as big as Yao...Bradley, Bol, Muerisan, etc) to ever play minutes like that on an extended basis.

Yeah, I remember back then how Sura was very important for us. So, Rockets are going to win the champs as long as everything goes alright for us. What, JLIII caught cold? Damn, our season is gone.....

bad thing is that every team are going to turn up their defense in the 4th.

    4th Quarter Fatigue Syndrome.

JVD, please get rid of 8-9 rotation, put all 12 there(I mean 12 rotation), or use Bonzi, V-span, even Novak! Good offence is the best defence. Yao is way too tired in 4th quarter. If we keep play like this, we'll keep lose. Guarranteed!
Everybody says T-mac and Yao both have to play good to secure playoff seat, I'll say we need T-mac, Yao and Bonzi play well for Championship. JVD, we need give chance to bonzi, even we sacrifice a couple of games. In absence of chuck, Bonzi should be the person to fill the gap.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed this, but there was one play toward the end of the game that was especially disturbing - we were down by (8 or 9?) and still with about 2 minutes left. (Still a ballgame, IMHO.)

T-Mac took the ball across halfcourt after a timeout and just pulled up immediately for a three that clanked off the rim. Now, I know everyone else was shooting like crap from the perimeter, but the fact there was no attempt whatsoever to set up a play, and T-Mac just puts up a 3 right away like that - reeks of desperation. (I would still say this even if he had made the shot; we can't depend on T-Mac to throw up 30 footers late in the fourth quarter as a way to finish games).

This team has lots of work to do in becoming mentally tough to finish games, e.g. to have someone willing to drive hard to the lane and get to the hoop for a tough bucket and/or foul.

no doubt we will be a 45 to 50 game win team this year...

I dont mind the loss... because deep down I knew we were going to lose...

when at the half when Tmac and Yao had 36 of the Rox 52 points... I knew we were in trouble...

where were our other guys... if a guy is shooting well, or not making himself a offensive threat... I thought a coach is suppose to pull the guy out and put someone else in...

even though Tmac had a great game starting off 6-6... I truly belive... he should be setting up guys... in the first 3 quarters and then taking over in the 4th...

unless he can prove that he can take over a game for the full 4quarters...

without that formula we will never win a title... unless you think we can jumpshoot ourselves to a Championship team...

Stamina is not part of the laws of physics or biology. Sorry. JVG tried taking Yao out, but he got fouled everytime towards the end of the quarter. You should have watched the game.

2 of them were in the fourth. And he was 1-4 from the field in the fourth. 2 points, and 2 turnovers from the guy our offense was revolving around in the fourth quarter. No wonder we played like crap.

Three game in a row, same story in the fourth quarter. It's not a matter of execution anymore. We need to try something else.

I agree, we have expected too much, we have a good Rox now, but not so perfect, detriot is a nearly perfect team, we are growing and we will beat them as other strong teams in this league, but maybe not right now.

Well, if Yao didn't carry the team through the first 3Q, I guess he wouldn't earn your compliment. Try to compare the teams, instead of dumping all your disappointment to a single player. This is a game for 5.

Detroit is not a near perfect team by ANY stretch of the imagination - they are still growing and will possibly beat us later if we do not make adjustments.

8 men rotation is as good as gold. But its still early in the season, teams have time to play their rookies to get some experience. After the All-star break, then coach can shorten their bench into 8-9 men rotation to prepare for the playoff.

Detroit is not a perfect team. They are just a 500 team after this win. They have beaten badly by lots of western conference team already.
