yeah I know, but still, I think Luther should run the point EARLIER in the game.. halfway in 1st and the most of 2nd quarter, and let Rafer work the second half.. or let Tmac run the point..

    THIS IS NOT WORKING !!!

This team has no leader. Not on the floor and no coaching leadership. If I'm JVG I'm telling T-Mac to drive the ball to the basket and force the refs to make a call. This meltdown is what you can expect to see until someone has the nerve to take some responsibility and step up when the game is on the line.

They probably got chapped lips blowing all those fouls through the first 3 quarters.

    We need Hayes & Bonzi....

And NEVER....NEVER....NEVER see Head and Alston on the floor at the same time, that is a recipe for disaster.

We need another shooter out there...NOVAK...and another creator when they double Tmac off the ball....

Their 4th quarter defense was DOUBLE Tmac with the ball, double Yao as soon as he gets it....and let the rest of the Rockets wide open.

And, since the rest of our team can't shoot...it works...

Paging Mr. Novak....check into the scorers table...stat!!!

Van Gundy better recognize that the Rockets problems go well beyond defense. It's a problem with our offense. 3rd game in a row we couldn't buy a bucket in the fourth quarter.

Bullard is such an idiot. "Yao played so well, both passing the ball and shooting the ball." Yeah, 8-18 from the field and 8 turnovers. Great job.

Our offense is too damn predictable. Every play, you know who the Rockets are trying to go to -- Yao or McGrady. We're too dependent on our superstars, and opposing teams are taking advantage of it by overplaying them. I've been defending JVG pretty hard the last couple days, but this is an issue HE needs to address.

And, no, the problem isn't going to be solved by playing Novak. If Alston and Luther continue to run the team like crap in the fourth quarter, though, maye Spanoulis should get some PT.

Yao shot 5 in 4th Q (plus couple turnovers), not enough? The key is the Q4 Yao was not the 1~3rdQ Yao, simply not the same guy. He was tired and could not play at the same level as in Q1 ~ Q3. So no matter how many shot he took in Q4, he was not very efficient.

It's obvious Luther can't run the team. He is a good shooter though. JVG should give Vspan a try.

Another one of things JVG sucks at....

    ..managing Yao's minutes.

When you have a 7-5 guy, you dont play him entire 3rd quarter like that.

Stamina issue came to bite him in the @ss late in the game.

JVG is going against laws of physics and biology.

    Dumb@ss!

I really dont agreed that Yao crumbles. Yao has carried this team in the 3rd quarter for a close game and has battled 4 big men and caused them 16 fouls in 3 quarters. If Yao is not tired in the 4th quarter, then Yao must be god or iron man. But what Yao did in the first 3 quarter already makes me worship him.

Really though what can you do, I've supported Rafer thus far, but tonight he did nothing for the team. Its his responsibility to get players the ball where they need it in the 4th.

About T-Mac, I have not seen a game where they let a guy drape himself around the waist of another player. T-Mac should have moved around more to draw attention to it, but he had to keep coming to the ball.

Funny, I wonder where are all the JVG homers - I mean, JVG defenders now?

I mean, there is a consistent habit of blowing leadings or crumbling in the 4th qtr now... any sane coach would put different players in, in our case Novak and Vspan or even JLIII, and see if it makes our team play better. But no, baldy JVG still sticks to the same loser scrubs and keeps on blowing leads and crumbling in the 4th qtr.

They have got to stop playing Howars, He is killing this team. He cant make shots, he plays no D , and doesnt rebound. Im not a fan of Padgett but at least he gives us decent shooting if nothing else, they are really missing chuck hayes

i havenot finished watching the game becos i really upset. Our offense just too simple, our stars player great, beside that.......i guess Piston saw that too.it is way too easy to defense our team. i hope our coach can make some adjustment, put some pg can attack the basket or dish it under vs just bring the ball to the half court and wait to shoot 3 pt. i wish our coach has his mind open, play the players by ability for the team not by senority.

DD - this is painful - I need some aspirin.

Rip Hamilton has done everything but squeeze Tmac's sack and only one call on a very flagrant call. What happened to the rule - don't touch perimeter players? Doesn't seem to apply to Tmac. Strange reffing - Yao treated with some respect finally in 1st Half, little in the 2nd and Tmac roughed up on the perimeter.

I personally am very glad JVG is being 100% consistent - it should eventually provide Morey with enough stats to analyze Gundy's coaching ability. And when the computer spits out the answer it will be......

    no doubt at all.

Popovich can replace every starter with the 2nd string and come out smelling like a rose. JVG plays JHo and Padge, etc etc while other possibilities sit nearby.

I'll bet we know a coach who eats the same meals on the same days every week, week after week. This reminds me of that film Patton where the Nazi analyst knows how Patton thinks but no-one will listen to him. Only there is probably a notebook photocopied and passed around the NBA: How to play against ---'s team.

    Predictable.

JVG is a dumb*ss. We need shooting and best he could come up with is Juwan Howard and Padget. Combined 39 minutes - 4 pts
Bring in Novak, he can't shoot worse than those scrubs.

THEY ALWAYS stop calling them in the 4th quarter...ALWAYS !!

    Yao should adjust !!

Heck it is not Yao and Tmac's fault it is the inability of the rest of our NBDL players to elevate their games to barely perceptible NBA players.

Padget- stinks I wish he never signed here, Novak should be playing and learning.

Howard - Great guy, needs to never play again...he is so slow and so pathetic....

Head - Hits the 3 ball, but can't dribble, can't pass, and more importantly CAN'T Stay in front of his man...EVER !!

Rafer - A very safe PG, who rarely attacks the rim, or creates shots for his teamates, which is amazing because that is what a true PG is supposed to do.

Battier - Needs to be a role player....taking advantage whenever it is presented, he does that well.

Synder - dumber than a box of hammers
