Alright, I never post here, I just lurk. However, a couple of friends and I were out last night in downtown San Antonio at Rive and Ben Wallace showed up (by himself). No pictures because I’m graduating from college and wanted to act my age, jk. My friend bought him a couple of drinks so that we could have a reason to have a talk with him. Now, I asked a couple of questions and received a couple of short answers, he is not talkative.

First question: I am a huge rockets fan, I know you lost tonight, but I have to ask you, how is Yao performing? Has he improved?

Ben: He is playing great, he is 100%, when he is 100% he is one of the best. I'm not 100% right now. I tore my bicep tonight, I’m around 70% right now.

Second question: Detroit loses you, and now they are struggling, what’s up with that?

    Ben: (smirk) laugh,

Third question: How do you like Scott Skiles?

Ben: He is good, better than others.

Last question: Who has the best chance this year to win the ring? Anybody look good.

    Ben: It is wide open.

First demand: Kick the spurs ass tonight!

Like I said he wasn’t very talkative, nothing that anyone here probably doesn’t know, and a lame excuse for me to start a thread. Plus, I really didn’t want to bother him; dude probably wants to be left alone. But as I was leaving the vip area, a group of girls come to me and ask who that guy is? I say its Ben Wallace, still confused, I tell them he plays in the NBA and they jump on his ****.

Thanks for info, always feel free to post that kinda stuff here, and since you asked him a question about a Rocket, I think the forum is still appropriate...

thanks for the info. even one of the best defensive players of all time agree's that yao is one of the best on offense. too bad only people he plays against actually understand how good he is.

    then he goes on 100%.

On the topic, nice hearing two four time NBA Defensive Player of the Year (Ben Wallace and Deke) saying Yao's the best. Who's word would you take, a player who plays against/with Yao in an NBA game or a sports writer or commentator who jumps on and off the bandwagon?

Guys don't input false info.. Ben wasn't saying Yao is the best but saying he one of the best if he is at 100%

Ben's a classier act... aside from shoving players of the opposing team that foul hard and starting brawls.
