Roll call...who from the BBS will be at the Toyota Center tomorrow night? I will be....The Who with the Pretenders opening is too good to pass up. Between my lady and myself we know about 20 people who will be there.
with a set composed of 50% new material, the high ticket cost wasn't justified for me, so I'm skipping this show

I understand, but I've heard the new material, and it is very good, so I dropped the dime. Were you at the August 2000 show at the Woodlands Paviliion? That one would have been right up your alley....they played everything, and they rocked.
The Who is at Woodlands Paviliion? Then what's at the Toyota Center? Because I don't know is at the Mercury Room.
Sorry, but you guys missed a great show Saturday night. For me, it was a cooked up shot of rock and roll salvation shot right into my veins. Pretenders were great and could have gone for another hour, although Chrissie Hynde got booed when she mentioned support for PETA. The Who flat out rocked. Townshend's guitar playing has gotten better with age. The new songs sounded great, and they also played the best live version of "Baba O'Riley" I've ever heard (this was my 4th Who show). It was a great night of rock and roll. I even taped the replay of the concert on the Who's Sirius satellite radio station last night.
