In the past two games, he has went 27/4/2 on 12 for 23 shooting and 21/7/2 on 9 for 18. Add to that, he led the charge to beat the Spurs. There's little doubt in my mind that he's the best player out of this rookie class, but this is an amazing break out for a young rookie.
it's only 2 good games ... before that he got 2 games where he shot 4/20 ... but i'm a morrison fan, and i hope he'll have a good season ...
True. But he had 48 points in 89 minutes in a back-to-back. He's a rookie, he's going to be inconsistent. But he's also going to have games where he's unstoppable.
He can become a really good player, but he still has a bunch to work on. 1. Offensive consistency - a player as good as he is, as logn as he is dedicated, I see no reason why he shouldn't be able to improve this regularly his first few years. 2. Defense - as with almost every young player, but Morrison more than average 3. Intangibles. His rebounding is improved the last two games, but he's gotten over 40 minutes in both....I mean he is 6'8 - that is pretty tall. Prior to that he was averaging under 2 boards a game. Filling up (or keeping down - turnovers) some of the other categories on a 48 minute basis would be nice, too. I was pretty excited to see how his rookie year would turn out but haven't really followed him much for some reason. Good reminder to keep an eye out.
I saw bernie swithcing morrison and robinson for offensive/defensive purposes.. JVG should do that with novak if he's worried about his defense..
I never fully understood this strategy...unless you are at the end of games, when you are going to be using timeouts. Otherwise, you are counting on your team committing a foul on a shot (to get the sub), or creating a turnover out of bounds (whistle blown).
Will he be fit to play for a extended period of time in his career, becuase of his medical condition? Bobcat took some risks on this type of players, Okafor's back is another one. So far, they both look good.
This thread is right about the NJ Nets 'coming out' thread right now, and so I made the obvious connection, thinking 'wow, maybe this is a new NBA trend?'.
excatly my thoughts when i was reading the title...of course a sec later i realized it probably isnt like that lol
same here. I was like, I didn't see this coming with the p*rn stache and all. But I reread the title.
I think he'll be very good, once he finds some consistency. Does anyone think Morrison's talent and potential could make it easier for Charlotte to dump a struggling and injury prone Gerald Wallace, perhaps to get a chance at Iverson?
