ok well they just had a new album come out, which by the way kicks total ass. but they didnt schedule many shows in america... and opted to go abroad. i have no beef about them being abroad, but the band is from texas and they had shows in northeast. wtf. no shows at all in texas? hopefully they plan on scheduling more shows once they are back from japan. I have been totally wanting to see this band for a long while now and havent had to the opportunity to. My friends who have seen them say they are amazing live. They said Cedric (the lead vocalist) has unrivaled stage prescence along with the lead guitarist Omar. Does anyone have information if they will ever make it around to Texas? love geo
i doubt they'll add more dates...the tour is supposed to wrap up in early december, from what i hear/read...and the latter dates are all in japan and europe. personally i'm not a huge fan of mars volta, mainly because i think at the drive-in was a lot better, albeit a completely different type of music. cedric bixler has always been one of my favorite vocalists, and omar rodriguez attended the community college that i currently attend, so i'll buy the new album of course...;-] my friend is literally the biggest mars volta fan ever and hes upset about the tour dates too. hopefully they add more though.
