Gloria Knowles, who works for Abaco Air Ltd. at Marsh Harbour airport, said baggage handlers reported the plane was overloaded with suitcases. She said the handlers and the plane's pilot complained about the heavy load but the passengers insisted on taking everything with them.

Both a tragic and idiotic way to die.

this is terrible news.
just last week she was on hot 97 FM promoting her new album, talking about her trip to the Bahamas to shoot her new video.

and this tragedy is what comes out of her blossoming career.
awful.
she had so much love for everyone, her fans, her family, her coworkers.

RIP Aaliyah

It was sad to see her great career cut short. I really loved her music and her style, plus loved her in the movie "Romeo Must Die." As to the rumors, disregard them because I just saw a list of people that were on the plane and neither Hype Williams nor any other major director or celebrity was on the plane. R.Kelly had left an hour earlier on some other plane. My heart goes out to the families that are suffering from this tragic event.

Aaliyah. Positive role model for all women. Successful. Young. Independent. Never in the news for negative things like alot of stars. Only 22 years old on the rise with her whole life ahead of her. She dies.

Yet, the guy that kills his family and is on the loose can't be caught, Charles Manson is still alive, the cops that pushed the plunger up that guys butt in NYC get away practically scott free, Saddam Hussein kills his own country's children and is still in power...so is Bin Laden the terroist. Many more to mention.

Damn, the wrong people die each and every day.

R.Kelly produced her first album. They ended up getting married but it didn't last, or so they said on channel 11 tonite.
