The Dream will be at Six Flags Astroworld on Sept. 8th.
He will be addressing the youth and their future.
Just informing all the Dream fans out there.

Did Astroworld have to outbid a Toronto theme park for Olajuwon's services?

Yeah, there was a LOT of people who said that. In fact, I am pretty sure you were the only Houston Rockets fan that didn't out and out say that Hakeem was a horrible prick.

Will he be introduced as the Toronto Raptors center or former Houston Rockets center? Seems to me like this is destined to be one long awkward moment.

Come on guys don't be so quick to forget all that Hakeem did for the Rockets and this city. He is an icon/legend here in Houston and keep that in mind next time when you feel like calling him a "prick" or a "traitor". I don't mind mild criticism on his "business" move to Toronto, but don't hold that against him for the rest of your lives, I know I won't.

This site would not exist if not for dream. Th Rockets would not have two championships if not for dream. No one would care doodely squat about the rockets if not for dream.
my guess is that he'll be introduced as Hakeem the Dream, the greatest player of all time.
(by the way, I'm glad that he did not accept the last Rocket offer. That was too much money for too long a time, isnt he like 42 years old or something?)

No offense, but you are stretching a bit. I remember the games in the 80's before Hakeem when the Rockets went to the finals and they were VERY popular around town. Winning makes fans happy and Hakeem helped deliver that, but while it was special, if the only way for the Rockets to be popular is for Hakeem to be a Rocket, we are in deep trouble.

As for this site, I think Mario Elie had more to do with it then Dream. Eh, Clutch? ;)

Could Mario (who's name is on the only Rocket jersey I own) have had the opportunity to shine for the Rockets were it not for Dream? Or for that matter, could Maxwell or Chucky Brown? (Mario, Max and Chuckie Who are my all time fav.s)
All I'm saying is that Hakeem has done so much for the Rockets and this city, that no one should call him a prick.
Sure, there was a rockets before Dream, and there will be a rockets after him, but Hakeem made a Rocket fan out of me, and I'm sure he made a Rocket fan out of the majority of the posters.
I will never boo him, and I hope toronto goes to the finals.
Of course I hope they lose to the Rockets, tho. I think the Rockets have a great future ahead of them, but no one should forget the unbeatable past. Although I hope that I am wrong, I doubt that there will ever be a rocket that does as much for the team as Hakeem did.

Sigh. I was being sarcastic. Hakeem is still my favorite player. I don't think he is a prick. Sigh...
