    Here's the list... no real surprises. Webb got some plum assignments. Kind of surprising Tester didn't go for Ag, but I see that Baucus is already there. Joe is a Chair.

    I'm surprised Obama did not ever end up on the judiciary committee given his legal background.

    Nobody who has serious WH ambitions wants anything to do with the Judiciary Committee... there's really no power, no pork, no routine way to influence things, and the televised fights over controversial nominees and subsequent pressures from interest groups are incredible... think Thomas.
