Feingold is out because he would rather work in the Senate instead of run for president. The man appears to say what he means so I don't expect him to pull a Michael Jordan. Repeating others comments, where was this Al Gore in 2000? The man was a stiff in 2000. The Al Gore of today would have whacked GWB in a landslide. If Kerry or Clinton get the Democratic nomination, I plan to vote Libertarian, anybody but those two.
perhaps Rudy G will run. -- Today: November 13, 2006 at 14:30:9 PST AP: Giuliani Takes Step Toward '08 Bid By DEVLIN BARRETT ASSOCIATED PRESS WASHINGTON (AP) - Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, a moderate Republican best known for his stewardship of the city after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, has taken the first step in a 2008 presidential bid, GOP officials said Monday. The former mayor filed papers to create the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee, Inc., creating a panel that would allow him to raise money for a White House run and travel the country. The four-page filing, obtained by The Associated Press, lists the purpose of the non-profit corporation "to conduct federal 'testing the waters' activity under the Federal Election Campaign Act for Rudy Giuliani." Giuliani was widely praised for leading the city during and after the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. He has said for months that he would wait until the end of the 2006 elections to decide whether to embark on a White Hou
Yes, those are good questions, and I'd just like to say that, first of all, there are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know.
Rudy Giuliani does not have a chance... You can only ride the waves of the tragedy of September 11th for so long, as the current adminstration discovered last week.
If it snows in Houston on July 4, 2007, then and only then will Giuliani get the GOP nomination for president in 2008. He has no chance whatsoever. The right-wingers will tear him into little tiny pieces if they have to. It will be hard enough for him to be veep for the winner. For my taste, his comments and actions relating to some of the police brutality cases in NY when he was mayor are unforgiveable. Maybe he figures 9/11 has washed him clean from his past and nobody will bring it up. He is VERY wrong.
Yep! Most people don't know what Rudy was like before 911 as mayor or as US Attorney for the Southern District of New York. On the other hand though, in a way, I would love for Rudy to win the nomination. It would signal the death knell of the evangelical wing of the republican party. This, IMO, would be a good thing.
