Spurs have won 28 of teams' past 32 meetings Long time lurker, first time poster. Anyway, I didn't realize that this series between the Spurs and the Rockets had become so one-sided. The Spurs also won all 4 meetings last year. Rockets need to step it up and show that they are legit contenders by beating the Spurs. It may not mean too much for SA, but this game can go a long way in establishing confidence for the Rockets in this young NBA season.
If you were a new user I would assume you made that name just to make a thread and get some laughs, but the fact that you've been lurking for 3 years makes it rather humorous to me. Regarding the matchup, I wouldn't be surprised at either a win or a loss, but I definitely think we have an actual home court advantage this year. Hopefully the crowd will be that extra factor that will get our guys over the hump tonight. It's time to start beating these guys for a change.
i'm sure the spurs have grown complacent about beating the rockets...so i think we might raise some eyebrows on tuesday night when we beat their ass by 30...
I don't expect the Rockets to win this game. The Spurs are almost in mid-season form and it will be tough for us to win unless we repeat the Mavs performance. If the Rockets play like slop for three quarters we won't be close enough to make it a game at the end. Today's game represents a measuring stick.
Wow, it seems Spurs have got a good-looking history and have now a serious psycholigically advantage. However, I believe Rockets still got a big chance to win. After all Yao is on fire and Tmac always play well against Spurs (Remember 2004, the last13s miracle?) and it is a home game for Rockets!
While the Spurs have an impressive record against the Rockets, I feel this new Rockets team will bring a new age and be enough to topple the Spurs this evening, having home advantage is also a big factor for the Rockets tonight.
We are a different team, and we are at home, which would be enough with Hayes in the lineup, without him, we are significantly weaker...... Hopefully it will be enough !! DD
I really don't think Tmac is going to put on show, unless Charlie Bell (6'3) is playing for the Spurs.
It used to be us that had the psychological advantage However, I really think the psyche advantage now is only with us fans. Most of the players haven't been here long enough to have any of that baggage. So Rockets win this one. Woot!
I'm tired of getting whipped by the spurs. Even with the TMac game, they still don't consider us a rival like we do them. Tonight, it's time to send them a message.
