I am needing to summarize two articles dealing with economic ethics for my macroeconomics class. My problem is I haven't been able to find two <i>good</i> articles. Does anybody mind pointing me to a couple of articles that I could write about? I am checking my work on these other macroeconomics questions, I'll post what need help on later. Didn't feel like 2 threads were necessary.
It might help if you could give me a better idea of what you are actually after. I have done a class on corporate governance and ethics, which covers things like Enron, MCI etc. Off the top of my head, ethics as it relates to economics, specifically macroeconomics would include stuff like:- - Fair trade, trade barriers (fair trade coffee might be a good article) - Subsidies to US farmers - Companies who push credit cards/encourage credit card debt - The US Potato industry and how farmers earn nothing but the french fry sellers make plenty (and the whole issue of rent apportionment and market control) - OPEC - perhaps the biggest macro issue of them all - The Worldbank, third world debt, debt relief I would suggest something from the above and googling it. SHouyld be a ble to find plenty - my 2 minutes of searching dug up the following. Thanks for the reply. I am not sure what the professor wants. Here is what his syllabus and website says: The Internet search will be conducted on the topic of economic ethics. Two articles must be downloaded to a disk from which you will prepare a one-page summary of each. The summaries and articles will be e-mailed to me as file attachments. When the grammar has been corrected and a hard copy returned to me, the project is finished and you will receive a pass. If you ask him on what he refers you to the above. I guess I am looking for some good articles that have to do with anything in ethics and macroeconomics. Thanks for the reply and assistance.
Here is what I need help on. For the test on Thursday, the professor gave us this example: Data Set Questions Answers: GDP = 5356 NDP = 5335 NI = 4960 PI = 4829 DI = 4179 Savings = 70 How were these obtained? a. I think he is talking about inflation (cost-push or demand-pull) bu I am not sure? How can you tell inflation from this? I believe I know the rest of those. I'll have to read my book for this one so.... Any help is greatly appreciated.
Based on that description, I think selecting any of the items I mentioned above would suffice. Can't help you with the second set of questions.
