Chuck is the biggest find of Rockets this season. I really hate JVG, but like his starting Chuck. Hope the injury is not serious.

I hope this isn't serious. Aside from the fact we need him, Chuck was really just getting his chance to be a starter in the league - playing big minutes. I'd hate to see him lose that oppurtunity because somebody else wins Van Gundy over or they decide without Chuck they need to pull the trigger on a trade to bring in another powerforward.

I don't know how likely either scenario could be though. I don't see Juwan winning back his spot and, of course, Novak can't earn any PT if he isn't allowed on the court. As to the possibility of a trade, who knows?

I hope to see him sooner too, but then I rather not have him rush back too soon and cause additional injuries which could shorten his carreer. His strongest point is hustle , quickness and agility. Those are his bread and butter, without that , he would be just an average bench player.

Allow time for his knee to fully heal and when the doctor give the word go, then we can see old chuckie back in action

Will Rockets win even one game without Hayes?

I'd like us to win every game easily. But if that happens, maybe Hayes loses his rotation spot when he returns?

Well, if the Rockets blow out the opposition every Quarter with Juwan at the 4 like they did last night during the 4th qtr, why not? Chuck can contribute off the bench :)

But I seriously doubt that happens. Chucks is the best rebounder on the team and the best defender against good post players. Somebody will have to step up their game big time for the Rockets to do well without him.

Not that I don't love that Chuck has been starting, but I would love for one of those guys to step up and play well while he's out. Most likely so would Chuck if you want to know the truth. He just wants to contribute. Sure its fantastic that he has been playing so well when starting. But he's going to give that same contribution if its coming off the bench or starting the game. If one more person steps up, that's more weapons for this team to win more games.

On the other hand, this has been a major opportunity for Chuck to prove his worth, and I think he was doing that... I would hope when he comes back that JVG will continue to let him start.

I am just glad it isnt a season ending thing. He is the best post defender we have besides Yao. He is also our most versatile defender, IMO.

I have seen him switch on pick and rolls and guard forwards as well as guards. He is quick on his feet to stay with most of them and has a strong base so he cant be pushed around.

On top of all that, he takes a lot of charges and seals off baseline.

Last night he switched over a lot on Wade and prevented him from cutting straight to the hoop.

    He will be missed.

Hopefully he will be back soon 100%!!!!!!

There are many good potential players in the team. Hopefully Jeff Van Gandy could get another way to continue winning. After all, Rocket is aiming at the champion, not only playoff.

IMO, Chuck is 2nd most consistant player on the team next to Yao in this stretch. Chuck needs our more attention and love.

Can mods send him the best wishes for his speedy recovery on behalf of our Clutchfans? Some flowers maybe?
