He seems to be regressing right now. Coming into this season, after Battier, Kirk was the guy I was most hyped about cause of the athleticism he displayed during preseason. His stats are way down though recently. His most notable appearances have been in the early losses. Is he just off right now? Should we consider dealing him?

I like Snyder, he doesn't need to put up big numbers to be effective. He's our most fiercest athlete when it comes to attacking the basket. Didn't you see yesterday's game when he went up for a two-handed dunk and got fouled.

It would be silly to trade him. You're not going to find a better player who's making so little money.

I think Snyder has shown some good things on the defensive end. He's a good rebounder. His jump shot has been off, and sometimes he doesn't rotate the ball fast enough to the open man. What he does do exceptionally well is penetrate and draw fouls. He's leading the team and is amongst the league leaders in free throws made per field goal attempt. His PER has been very good for a role player at 14.7.

Snyder hasnt been shooting particularly great from outside. Everything else has been really good though.

He attacks the rim with authority. If he keeps doing this consistently, he can take some load off of Yao and Tmac on offense for 5-10 minutes a game. Plus he can get the opposing team in foul trouble.

He is built tough. He is physical on defense and is quick enough to hound most people. Last night his defense on Wade was excellent in the second half.

So far it looks like he hustles a lot. I have seen him hustle on boards and on defense.

He provides a Cutter to the basket when Yao posts up.

He just needs to stop hesitating when he has the ball, stop pump faking, and get in a better flow of offense.

If he starts to hit his outside shot on a consistent basis, he can be downright nasty.

He is only 23 years young, so lots of potential here.

I'm not sure about what you were expecting. JVG's not a coach that will help guys have career years in terms of stats. Snyder's production is perfectly in line with what he did last year, and he's not someone that you want to write in as a 3rd scoring option. The team went after Bonzi knowing this.

He's the only player that has the balls to drive to the basket fearlessly.

I don't know if you noticed this, but he shut down D. Wade yesterday. That doesn't show up in the stats, but it's a pretty big thing, wouldn't you say?

I think that Kirk Snyder bothered D-wade in the second half of the Miami game. He is built like a truck and wade could not bump him off as easily as Head. He is not as quick as Wade but he had the strenght to bother him. I think Kirk was a steal and he is will be a solid contributor all season. His shot is ugly and he is a bit out of control at times... but I like him with Bonzi there to help groom him we might have a real steal.

    6-2 is the next step.

Snyder is fine, and a bargain pickup. I like him,.. his attack to the basket is more impressive than TMAC right now ( No respect to TMAC) , but that is the fact.

Perhap, he can inspire TMAC to do attack the basket the same way. I surely hope it does. But Tmac will come out of his slump also, as his inside game opens up for him , when his outside game is working.

Snyder brings energy and athleticism to the team and we need that at certain juncture of the game to spark the team,, so yes.. Snyder get some love from me.

Yeah I saw Snyder go up viciously for the 2 hand slam and got fouled. T-Mac was standing there watching.

I immediately was overcome with a sense of nostalgia, thinking about the days when T-Mac would be doing what Snyder just did night in and night out. I hope those days will come back once again, at least in the playoffs.

Snyder is doing fine. He's on a new team and is finding his way. His shooting is off but he fits a need on our team both on offense and defense. I expect him to improve as the season wears on.

I agree snyder is doing very well. I think it is very hard for his type of player to balance himself - I.e. explosive/slasher type player who still maintains discipline and team play. If you look at Stro and those types of athletic players, he will hit a few nice buckets, then they have a head explosion and think they can do everythingthing, and proceed to pick up a rash of turnovers, undoing all his good work. Snyder has a very cool head and is able to contain himself, yet knows when to turn the jets on.

I hate these threads. 7 games into the season and you're talking trades...Have some patience. Seriously a few bad games, and this forum is filled with "deal him", "whats wrong with him?" etc etc...

i like snyders play.. we dont' need to trade him... he can drive to the basket decently. i would say tmac is doing the same as him but tmac can take it up couple more levels where at snyder has to learn to how to get tmac's level...

Dei, why because he doesn't have nice looking stats?

who cares about that all we care about is what he does against teams like dallas, phoenix, san antonio. he's 1 for 1 in that department.

Stackhouse and Josh Howard wanted no part of Snyder that game and from what I'm seeing that makes him already more valuable than Barry was, than Wesley was, than Mike James was...
