A horrible article. Very little truth to it.

I remember an SI article around roughly '87 or '88 where a writer (who happened to be from Boston) concluded from some tenuous analysis of his footwork that Hakeem didn't qualify as a center and therefore shouldn't be considered with the likes of Robert Parish when discussing the great centers of the NBA.

When you are on top you have to endure this kind of nonsense from people looking up from below.

I don't know which is dumb and dumber. The author of the trash journalism on Yao or some of the posts here concuring to the "opinion" of the author. :D

Those translators are third-rate. There are a bunch of translators now in China who only care about how much money they get from the publishers. I remember I read one of the aftergame interviews about Shane Battier on Yao Ming. Battier said something like, "Yao is not out there and that changes the dynamics of the game...It is much better when Yao is out there..." The translator put it into something like this in Chinese - "The rockets are playing better when Yao is off the court. "

Not to mention those who scramble to translate Harry Potter or Rich Dad, Poor Dad.

after viewing todays results, its clear that yao's personality held him back against shaq and zo.

imagine he had more of a killer instinct and the ability to will his team to victories...

Compare with this article, ESPN sounds subjective to me. As matter of fact, I heard very subjective comments on Yao during Rox Miami game from ESPN, who knows what is next, everyone is leaning to the dominant and riding fence ;)

Why would anyone believe nonesense like this article, it is only for ignorants and idiots.
