I am a Christian and I fully believe in the power of prayer.

I would like to use the power of this BBS to ask all of you to please pray that Chuck Hayes injury is minor and that he will recover quickly and fully.

I hate to see our bright future this season in jeopardy because of injuries like last season.

    Please say a simple prayer.

Chuck is invaluable to this team!

Pardon the potentially sending this to the D & D but it seems a little petty to suplicate God for the benefit of a pro-basketball team.

Could we just pray for Hayes to get better as a person who is hurt?

Just like God doesn't plea for money from the poor, the elderly, and the sick...he/she doesn't take sides in sporting events, or give special attention to Chuckie over the tens of thousands of children who go hungry and die of starvation.

You really seem to want to abuse this forum.

No, but the results of the election are almost enough to bring me to religion! :)

Yes, I believe prayer works. And I definitely will pray for Rubber Chucky. While God may not care about the success of sports teams (I have been known to pray for those, too.), He does care about the well-being of His creation.

I do not believe in God, so i also do not pray.

I do not understand that if people believe in a god, they would bother him with these type of minor things. Why not pray for the starving and dying in africa and other poor countries, or for the people who are forced to life in an area with a war? Those are things that matter, and that deserve to be prayed for(IMHO). Not some sport event. I never understood that.

I pray that Chuck's injuries will help him find true meaning in God and allow him to retire early, so he can devote his life to the Lord instead of spending his efforts on insignificant, worldly pursuits such as professional basketball

I also pray for the Jazz, the Mavs, the Spurs, the Suns and the Sonics to crush us every time because although they are our bitter rivals, I forgive them for the hurt they have caused, and care for their welfare more than my own

    AMEN

I do not pray to Crom. He does not listen.

Prayer is stupid. Anyone who thinks they can cause something to happen simply by saying or thinking a few words is crazy. It didn't work for Shaun Alexander and it won't work for you.

Everyday I pray that nobody or nothing gets hurt, sick or dies. It never works. :(

FSM does not require prayer. Chose your Gods carefully.

With the diverse group here, one of our dieties of worship is bound to listen.

But these other dieties will have a hard hearing the requests over the laughter of the FSM.

The desire for illusion is fulfillment.

The fulfillment of illusion serves desire.
