Your going to love Redondo Beach, lots of entertainment here, only negatives are the horrible streets(small and too many stop signs) and the high cost of living(average 3 bedroom home, $600,000) but it's always cool(weather), friendly people, safe(rarely any murders), good schools(one of the best districts), and many, many places to shop at. I live around the corner from MSAC (i play there sundays, starting mid-week soon), so I'll try to make it. Any idea on when they're going to be there? I'll be there in some ROX tshirt (championship) or a Rox workout singlet. hope i can be spotted. at 6'2" i'm normally easy to spot, but at a bball stadium... Hope it's after work (for me) and the footy (carlton v collingwood. should kick ass).
I can't believe there is so much international following of the rockets. I would think it would still be the bulls or lakers. I'm waiting for someone to write from antartica or the north pole. I heard santa is a big time rockets fans. I have heard it from the man that the reason he wore red is because of the old rockets colors. Anyway, kirkit and saleem, any other desis in here! Hate to sound like an echo, but I'm amazed at the diversity of this BBS. Even though I've been visiting here for 3 years now and I've known that its visitors and members were not limited within North America's borders, I never realized how geographically extensive CC.Net's members are. Even the regulars - I had no idea Thanos was from Brazil - are from locales many miles and even more kilometres from the Summitt. Save Antarctica, we've covered each and every continent. That really is amazing when you think about it. Wouldn't it be cool if we could set up a huge online map with dots or symbols signifying where the posters reside? Similar to the one HeyP drew up for the CC.NET seating arrangement during Hakeem bobble-head at the Compaq - except more complex and detailed. For practicality reasons, there can be a separate map for the members in Texas, and/or the Greater Houston area. I know thats not an easy task, but its just a thought. Its a thing of beauty to see people from every corner of the world converge and discuss the universal language that is Rockets basketball. Oh and by the way, I AM CANADIAN. Azim da Dream
Close, we lived in Hermosa for 7 years. Just left a little over a year ago. Wished we had bumped into you at National Sports Bar or Mr. Pockets; we never had any company when rooting for the Rockets

Hey Cohen and LA's #1.... I have some friends in Redondo so it was an easy decision for me on which beach town to choose.....but I have heard that MB is great. Thanx for the info LA's #1.....but you know coming from NYC I would go crazy w/ all the space in a 3bdrm house like u mentioned - I will be looking for a condo on the beach!! I hope there are some nice courts out there for me to school the locals in the art of Dreamshake and right-handed only Drexleresque slashing
UTrocket.... Re: Rox making playoffs... For about 20yrs now I've had this superstition that whenever a big game was coming up, I play devil's advocate and just tell everyone I know that there's no way the Rox can win. It amazes me how many times my superstition has worked and RT has proved me wrong!! So please kindly pay no attention to me throughout this season when I keep wondering out loud if we can make the playoffs, beat the Fakers, etc. By the way, this method of mine was most effective after gm 4 against the Suns in '95, when I agreed w/ everyone and their mother that the Rox were done for sure - but at the same time booked a flight to Phoenix several days in advance, in order to attend gm 7
