to hold the crow I need to eat about Yao Ming. Hell, there ought to be a banquet in here for all of us who said

    1. He'll never learn the NBA game.
    2. He'll never have the personality to dominate.
    3. He'll never have the strength.
    4. He'll never have the stamina.
    5. Don't play him under the basket.
    6. He's too slow to be effective.
    7. He'll never learn how to stop fouling.
    8. He'll never learn how to rebound.
    9. We should have picked Amare.
    10. The era of big men is over.

For you, Mr. Yao. I raise this forkful for you. You keep killing, I'll keep eating.

This will be known as the milestone game where Yao is officially crowned the number one center in NBA.

    It is official! YAO >SHAQ!

Upon reading the title, I thought this was a Bonzi Wells thread.

    Mr Will

I hope your plate is large 'cause there's lots o'folks who need to eat off your forking plate.

The man is a man and I am glad he is representing Houston, leading the Rox forward. I have more respect for him than any other professional athlete.

    ...x...

Yeah i remember there was this "high post" / "low post" argument. Clearly JVG had the right idea.

There can be no question in any reasonable mind that Yao is the best center in the NBA, right now! He is not "up and coming" or "getting there", he IS there.

Yao Ming is flirting with greatness. A few years ago there were games when I didn't think what I am seeing now would ever happen, but it has. I am so happy for the young man, he has arrived.

I like that you mentioned Yao not having the personality to be successful. He is truly evolving. I love anyone with the balls to say they were wrong.

If he plays like this for the rest of the year, and this team stays healthy, you'll be proved wrong by the end of June.

Then, YOU'LL be starting a thread like this.

    Mark my words.

Yep, I did too. Thought he'd be better operating from there shooting midrange jumpers and dishing. Now I admit I was wrong and that Yao is far better as the beast in the low post he is now.

I think we can officially put to rest the acronym YOH. From now on its YMY (Your Majesty Yao) or KY1 (King Yao I).
