He's been the same his whole career - he doesn't care about anything other than taking his shots in the post. Can't/Won't rebound, Can't/Won'tdefend, Can't/Won't pass, Can't/Won't protect the rim, Can't/Won't cut down on the KFC runs. Only worked out in the offseason ONCE in his career - and that was when free agency was looming. He's got no heart or professionalism, and he will be a sad sack his entire career. Evan
well the problem is that the talent level of most nba centers has dropped so low that this guy usually outplays the other teams center. of course know one is a match for yao! if i were coaching the knicks tonight, i would've played a rotation of lee, cato, and balkman on yao for the entire second half. crap. i hope the knicks don't read this before we play them on the 20th hopefully they think i'm trying to use reverse psychology.
low blow..... regardless, i agree with the openning assessment. eddy curry has A LOT physical talent and god-given abilities, he just doesn't feel like working hard at becoming the type of player he is capable of. there is no reason he shouldn't be putting up 18 points and 8+ rebounds per game, not to mention some blocks. but he doesn't care about anything other than scoring and treating every buffet like its the last one on the planet. i'll never get how a guy 6'11 and 280 pounds (if in shape, which is never) can't average more than 6 rebounds per game.
The thing about Curry is the crap effort. There were several plays on defense where he just gave up. I'm amazed that a pro player could get away with being so lazy on the court.
The funny thing was, after he made his dunk on Yao, he looked at Yao like he owns him. After that, disaster happened to him. Yao made him look like a basketball idiot.
Yea, I went to the game last night, Curry is ridiculously bad for what he is paid. Get a bunch of NBA "experts" and they will tell you he is top 4-5 in the league. What a jokel
seriously he made Yao look like AI in terms of speed. If you let Yao blow past you like that, your mind is probably not in the game.
Lol, i was watching a play where yao blocks him and then goes to the other side for an easy point (cause curry was behind). Then they showed the replay so u could see yao behind and curry was like half the half court when yao scored. I was thinking to myself how horrible Curry actually is on defense...
