I'm just curious. The kid has not looked very good in preseason or in the few regular season minutes he did get.

I remember he was in the discussion as far as guys people want the Rockets to draft goes.

I liked him as a fit for the Rockets, but the draft panned out with better players being available. As for how he looks, it's a shame he got drafted to a team that already has a player with similar skills and no need for him. He will probably have to change teams to see enough minutes to develop.

    I agree with studogg.

With Iguodala there, Carney is effectively redundant. Makes me wonder why they drafted Carney??

Another guy we were interested in was Ronnie Brewer, now with Utah.

Bingo. I'd like Billy King to answer that question.

Yea, pretty stupid move. There weren't any good big men in the middle of the draft but they definitely couldve picked up Rondo or Marcus Williams for point guard depth. Also, they could move Iverson in and out of the 2 guard slot if they wanted to if they drafted one of those two guys.

I think that they envisioned him to share minutes/ replace Kyle Korver if he wasn't getting it done this season which he is doing. That is my guess.
