After the knicks, this is gonna be a tough stretch. I think we can take all of these teams, but my gut tells me we'll go 2-2.

Anyone wanna tell me why I feel this way?

Because we are a team in transition that will be Championship level in the second half and in the playoffs.

You feel this way because of the team's inconsistent play thus far and not sure what type of team we really have...they need to develop an attitude of domination and learn to bury teams that they face who are inferior to them. Tonight would be a perfect time and I would like to see our shooters get on target again and continue it for a while.

They can win all of these games IF they play to their strengths and no back 2 back games in this stretch so no excuses!

The Rockets play their best when they're playing against top teams. So expect a good hustle play after their game tonight. I'm not saying we're going to win them all but we'll see the potential of this team.

I have a good feeling that the Rockets will take all four games.

Hmmm I wish but I'd take 2-2 at this point. I just dont know which team will show up at this point.

It will take some time for us to find out what kind of team this...

San Antonio's good but some of their key guys are starting to show their age (Horry, Bowen). Parker and Duncan are becoming more of a two-man show. Manu has been quiet.

Miami doesn't look very good at all. Shaq is nursing injuries to skip games again, and they're getting ridiculously dependant on Wade.

Chicago's truely tough and their strengths match up well against us. Scrappy backcourt play is not what we excell at dealing with. Yao has not always played well against Ben Wallace or PJ Brown.

Detroit's wheels are missing their hubcaps and wobbly. They play us on the backend of a back-to-back despite a razor-thin bench, Wallace is not doing well with the new rules, their interior D has been bad, there's talk about Billups cutting out and leaving this summer, and their only wins have been against Boston and Memphis, both of which are 1-3.

I'm not saying these games will be a 3-1 or 4-0 dance, but I doubt we'll do worse than 2-2 next week.

if we win one of those games and beat the knicks tonight we will still be .500 heading into an easy patch of games (knicks, wizards, grizzlies, wolves)

3-1 would be impressive in terms of evaluating our early progress. I have no doubt that we can beat these teams at the end of the season. But they have all played together for a long time, while we are still trying to gel. I would be happy with 2-2

Detroit(2-3) is more inconsistent than the rockets. They lost to Milwaukee, Utah, and Sacramento.

Miami(2-2) got destroyed by Chicago for a 42-point loss and lost to Philadelphia.

After Chicago(2-3) beat Miami, they went on to lose 3 out of the next 4 games to Orlando, Sacramento and Cleveland.

The only team with a winning record is San Antonio. Yes, I am worried about them.

The bad teams are currently holding playoff spots and the playoff contenders are in lotto zone.

The first 2 weeks of the NBA season is always strange for 3 reasons

    1) roster changes
    2) coaching changes
    3) veteran players coming into the season out of shape and working way into shape.

We beat the Heat due to Shaq being out. We lose to San Antonio. We beat Detroit and Chicago, because they are more lost than us.

    3-1

How these go will depend on our mental toughness and hunger to win.

my heart says we will be 4-0, but my mind says 3-1 is more reasonable.

We should win all the home games and eventually start winning on the road....at an above .500 clip.

Looking at these teams just reminds me that the Rockets are not the only team subject to the influence of luck and the time it requires to find the best way to run things.

Plenty of teams with good talent and good coaches are still trying to figure things out this early in the season. People shouldn't overreact to either wins or losses.

3-1 i hope, and they gotta win against Chicago because thats one of the few games they air over here. They only air 2 games a week, and that means alot of cleveland, but who cares about them! Show some more rockets

4-0 is very doable, because we have the Spurs at TC. The other 3 are inconsistant. If we play our game against all 4, we win all 4. I like 3-1 personally.

Why don't you think Chicago is doable, also? The Bulls game is at TC also.
