Sad to hear that, may he rest in peace.

We've already lost one of my favorite human beings in the world in Peter Jennings, and have had a few other icons in the news media either pass away or retire in the past couple of years...it's a tough transition period for a lot of us.

I still haven't completely gotten over Mr. Jenning's passing, and I just get the feeling that Charlie Rose won't be around for much longer -- I religiously follow his nightly program on PBS, he's by far the best interviewer in the business.

I had a good talk with Bradley over the summer. I didn't think he was that great. A very lucky man who happened to be at the right places at the right times. Pretty much most people who he worked with did not like him very much. I've seen better journalists, but nevertheless, RIP.

I'm just telling you what Bradley told me. He has no kind feelings toward Dan Rather. I asked him about other people, like Mike Wallace, and he had no kind feelings toward him either. It took Wallace a while to gain the respect for Bradley. I guess this isn't the best place or time to discuss this stuff. The man just died, and I'm deeply saddened because I knew him personally and had a good talk with him. RIP. 60 Minutes will never be the same.

    RIP

On another note, there is an eerie coincidence to this.

If anyone caught "The Big Show" with Dan Patrick and Keith Olbermann today on ESPN 790, you’ll know what I’m talking about. The topic was Brian Pata's death and whether or not U of Miami should play the game. Dan Patrick was stating his case for the game to be played.

    Dan actually said this.....
At the time, I dont think Dan knew Ed Bradley had actually passed on as he made reference to this almost to casually along with his other points top prove why Miami should play the game. Plus the story on Bradley's passing broke on the AP wire around the time "the Big Show" was on the air.

Needless to say I come home and find out Ed Bradley has passed on after hearing Dan Patrick earlier today and it just seemed kinda creepy....

    Did anyone else notice this?

Take Jennings and Bradley and leave us with O'Rielly (sp?) and Rush.

The guy upstairs has a great sense of humour.

    One of my favs R.I.P.

I am watching the 60 Minutes special on Ed Bradley and let me just say that this was a truly awesome man! I didn't know half of these things about him and I gained a lot of respect for him today. RIP Ed Bradley.
