we need more class... maybe with some marginal post season success and maybe a humbling loss to the suns or spurs we can get some. this of course AFTER beating the mavs in 6

So if a pig plays in it's own filth you feel that you should do the same?

The definition of class is that you maintain your civility regardless of the actions of those around you.

This isn't about Dallas fans, it's about Rockets fans and how much class we have. A classy organization like the Rockets should have classy fans. Mark Cuban...well, like I said - this isn't about Dallas...get my drift?

gotta agree woth x110, Blade and NewYorker( )

we always hold our team and oruselves up as examples of class

yet, we go to other team's boards to rub it in their faces??

Dont sound very classy to me AT ALL.

needless to say...I wont do it, nor do I think much of folks that do. :(

In person is a different thing. I was a Rocket's fan in NY during the '94 championship. I know all about in person rivalaries, especially if they are in a fun competitive spirit.

But to go to another message board and gloat is something else.

If I was around annoying Dallas fans I would definitely cheer a little extra loud and rib any fans that seemed like they could take it in the right spirit. If they couldn't I would just laugh at them from wanting to fight over a game.

Jumping on their crappy-ass board just encourages them to come do the same on our board. There are already too many threads started by idiots around here for a bunch of Mav fans to come in and flush it down the toilet.

RIGHT! It's fun to read their crazy BS after a great win like the one last night, against a hated rival. (gotta hate somebody! hard to hate the Mavs... they're so whiny, but I've always hated Dallas just on general principals, because the chumps up there have always looked down they're overly-long noses at H-town) But register there to give them a hard time? That would feel... unclean. Why soil ourselves by visiting their site? Read the goofy stuff and laugh, sure. :p

I lived in Houston for 10 years, before LA and now Vegas, hence my devotion to the Rockets. I can say Ive always disliked Dallas fans - mainly due to the smugness they showed regarding the Cowboys (Landry year, AMERICAs Team -PUHLEEEZE). But I gotta agree with previous posts, going on their boards and rubbin their nose in the loss, is lacking in class. If we wanna moan and b**** about our team, or even other teams, in OUR forum, thats fine, but we dont need to go 'show our a$$ in other public forums'.

Heres a quote from one of the mav's fans after suffering there fourth loss tonite...

    Supermari0 said:

"To be honest, this season reminds me of Houston last season. Came in with a bunch of promise, signed a bunch of free agents, and everything went to hell because of injuries and all those free agents turned out to be garbage. (injuries aren't that big an issue right now outside of Howard but the free agents part seems spot on)"

Is it just me or does it seem like a lotta people are jumpin the gun a lil too soon? keep in mind that only FIVE games out of the seasons 82 have only been played, yet somehow we are already in the hunt? i am loving the w's early in the season just as much as everyone else but before we get caught up and start thinkin playoffs we gotta realize that it can slip away just as fast as it came. call me a pessimist, but im sure everyone remembers their hearts stopping when tmac was carted off in a stretcher at halftime last year, thats all it takes.

Right idea, but you've got it backwards. It's not that we are back in the hunt, its that every single team is still in the hunt so we can't get too far ahead of ourselves. The two worst records in the NBA are from teams that could still legitimately win 50 games. It's a long way to go, but I like how the season has started.

ok first off dallas and phoenix are wayyyy too good to keep a little slump like this going. and besides, do any of us on this board play on the team? no. so we shouldn't be talking very much trash at all. it's not like we can try harder and the team will win more. the team is gonna do what it's gonna do, it's pretty much out of our hands. we are spectators. that's it. no reason to talk trash for something we have almost no hand in.
