All I can say is, **** deer!! I just got back our '05 Honda Odyssey van from the shop, after it was repaired from damage we got when we were hit by a deer coming home from the Stones. I mentioned it here, somewhere, already. This big damn buck ran full-tilt into the front of the van, between the front wheelwell and the front bumper. HE hit US. His body slammed into the driver's door, which had to be replaced. $2500 bucks worth of damage. The S.O.B. was running full speed in a suburban area of Austin. If he'd lived, I would have asked a cop to give him a citation!

 

Now that's what I call deer hunting.

Go into THEIR territory, and be surprised by them. Awesome.

You're absolutely correct, Señor Pun. That dude has come out on "Max X List" plenty of times on "why animals attack" saying that he told his wife to just keep recording if anything happened.

 

Actually, in some states and counties in the US, you can ONLY hunt deer with a shotgun.

 

That's actually pretty common in bowhunting. I know I've had it happen to me. Bowhunters call it "jumping the string". Deer are fast enough that, if they hear and react to the arrow as soon as it's released, they can duck an arrow.

 

Something tells me that we're not exactly dealing with the sharpest tool in the shed here....

 

Maybe he was a friend of the deer.
