A million? I don't think MJ is a million times better than me, and I couldn't make the team in Jr. high. Novak is no more than 537 times better than howard.
Because he DOES NOT make them in clutch when he will be most required to once we get in the playoffs. He proved it over and over again last season. And this season is not very different.
There was a guy here earlier who kept asking how I and others come up with these numbers. Poor chap never tried ebay for one of 'em machines..
Uhhh, but you didnt say that, you said Rafer had to make clutch shots,he doesnt. All our role roleplayers just have to be consistent, and our superstars have to act like superstars.
Dude!! You did it again!!!! Once again a rebuttal by agreeing with me! Yes I said he has to make clutch shots, and yes I said he doesn't make them. And yes that's exactly what I repeated in the last thread. And yes you agreed with me. This is the longest I have argued with anyone who completely agrees with me!! Go back to a whole bunch of other Rafer threads... you will see how I have been saying all along that Rafer is garbage in clutch. You would have known if you were on this board for last year's misery.
I'm hoping you're saying this tongue in cheek because how in the world is a rookie career ruined because of a DNP-Coaches decision??? Check your stats and you''re notice that a lot of great one sat there first season. Michael Redd played 35 TOTAL minutes his first season...T-Mac sat most of his first season in Toronto...Kobe sucked his first season (played 15 mpg) and so a second round draft pick is going to have to tough it out because no way that he ends up better than (redd, mac or kobe) and they all paid their dues.
No one made many clutch shots last year. Rafer makes just as many 4th quarter plays as any role player.
I think you misread the post. The guy is saying that Rafer doesn't have to make the clutch shots all the time. He just has to be consistant, which I agree with. Tmac is our clutch shooter.
Actually a pretty impressive win especially considering its there 4th game in 5 days. Until they get home and get a chance to practice some, I don't think you could ask for anything more. It was nice to see TMac finally start dropping some jumpers.
He FAILS at the one attribute which is needed most off of him in clutch. Tmac will be the playmaker during crunch time. All Rafer has to do is drill open shots. He hasnt before. I am not sure how exactly he will start doing now.
In playoffs, good teams arent gonna allow Tmac to beat them. They will force Rafer to make the winning shots. Jordan needed BJ Armstrong and Steve Kerr. Surely Tmac is no Jordan. If Jordan needed them, Tmac will need more.
As I said earlier, throughout his career he shoots over 35% from trey. Thats pretty consistent for a role playing point guard.
A quote widely circulated in 1999 about another notoriously mediocre shooter: "No team with Avery Johnson as point guard will ever win an NBA championship." Ahem.
