Bogut can do nothing while Yao's on the court. Charlie V is a poor decision maker. TMac is slowly recovering. He will cancel Redd. Bonzi won't play but VSpan will. Novak will get some minutes and score at least 2 3-pointers. Chuck Hayes will not get many rebounds but he will make Charlie V an inefficient player. Bottom of line, Rockets win by 15
Tmac has a history of playing well against the Bucks. i predict he will score 27 and yao will get 22 and 14. alston has an average night, and battier does what he usually does. does anyone know if Bonzi will be playing tonight?!?!?
Mac will likely have a good game tonight because of the challenge of facing Redd...I look for him to get 20+ tonight to build on last night's performance... Alston will shoot better tonight and run the offense better with more bench production fro Novak, Head, Howard and Snyder. Get the ball to Yao early and often to get him going and get the team going. Bonzi is probably not going to play again for a few games but you never know with JVG...I'd like to see him for 10 min per game to play himself into shape that would be better than seeing Padget lock lost out there.
yeah.. he's gotten ridiculously fat. reminds me of barkley.. and that's not a good thing.. he needs to be more mobile than that to be productive.

I know its a college newspaper, but I agree with pretty much everything said except TMAC being abysmal when he is off because he does alot of other things besides shooting. Home > Sports 11/8/06 NBA showdown in the Texas Triangle : Houston Rockets By Alex Blair Down in Houston, the dominoes are falling. Something big is in the works. A veteran glue guy picked up. Young talent paying dividends. A career journeyman and scoring threat eager to help out. A pair of superstars finally healthy. All these things lead to the Houston Rockets morphing into the best team in the Southwest Division this NBA season. Longtime general manager Carroll Dawson is departing after this season. His "swan song" was the best offseason of any team in the NBA. The Rockets raised eyebrows in the NBA draft when they swapped UConn prospect Rudy Gay for Memphis' Shane Battier. This was the perfect move for Houston. Battier provides the veteran leadership and defensive skills that coach Jeff Van Gundy craves. Besides, Houston made enough good draft picks so that Rockets fans won't waste time dreaming of Gay jumping out of the Toyota Center. There's Steve Novak, out of Marquette. If Novak's performance in the preseason is any indication, it looks like Houston has finally found the reliable 3-point threat it so desperately needed. Last season, the Rockets changed from NBA players into bricklayers once they moved past the arc. Another rookie who should contribute is Vasilis Spanoulis. In leading Greece to a surprising World Championship in the offseason, Spanoulis looked like a hairy Manu Ginobili. But the most significant addition to the Houston Rockets is Bonzi Wells. Wells signed a one-year deal with the Rockets for $2.1 million. Considering that Wells averaged 23.2 points and 12 rebounds in the playoffs with the Sacramento Kings and was offered a chance to resign for $40 million over five years, he's a bargain. Wells adds a level of versatility to the Rockets that they have never had before. He can fill in at shooting guard, small forward or power forward. With Wells, Houston has someone to shoulder the scoring load should anything happen to its dynamic duo of Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady. Last season, when Yao and McGrady played together, they won 68 percent of the time. When Yao is on his game, there is no answer for him. His jumper is the most undefendable shot in the NBA. Yao has packed more muscle on his 7-foot-6-inch frame. This year will be the beginning of a run of Shaq-like dominance that was predicted for Yao when the Rockets selected him. The 36 points he dumped on the Mavericks in 36 minutes last Saturday was just a sampling. Look for Yao to be in serious contention for the MVP. Then there's Tracy McGrady. At his best, T-Mac is the most dynamic scorer in basketball. When he's off, he's abysmal. There's no middle ground. McGrady has started the season cold, but look for him to turn it around as he gets back into the swing of things after a season plagued with back problems. On paper, Houston is already one of the best in the West. When other teams were trotting out their benches in the preseason, Van Gundy played his starters in hope of fostering the chemistry needed to propel a squad to the Finals. As the season progresses, no one, not San Antonio, not Dallas and not Phoenix will be able to hang with the Rockets.
