Man, I'm sorry. When you were a kid in high school, and needed to rebel did you sneak out the window to go to the Republican National Convention? What a freaky place. It really blows my mind that places like Berkley, and wherever the Merry Prankster Cafe are (I forget... it's all a haze...) are like two miles away from places like Walnut Creek, which is like 2 miles away from the slums of Oakland Coleseum, which is like 10 miles away from Redneck, er... Redwood City which is like 5 miles away from both Menlo Park on one side and Halfmoon Bay on the other. The place is like the geographical representation of Multiple Personality disorder. It can't even agree on the weather. It's 50 degrees and foggy in one place, while 2 miles away it's like 90 and humid! Also, San Fransisco proper is the only place in the world with more titty bars per square inch than Houston! I mean, like 2 miles away from the 'famed' Prudential building is a giant, 40 foot high stripper on a facade, complete with swinging neon a@@! . .. ... .... ..... Uhm... now that I think about it, I'm kinda jealous. I don't suppose you know anyone that needs a IT/Networking consultant? I hear that there aren't any of those out there.
GotGame15, Are khoobam! To chitoree? hey, me an e-mail and we'll talk...I'm sure no one here wants us to chat in this thread, lol. I'd e-mail you, but it ain't in your profile.
GotGame, then get out of Houston! I'm from Hong Kong, aka China. Have been a Rockets fan since late 80s ... came to the States in 93 and my only destination has been Houston!
Any idea how much the tix cost? They're not really advertising the game are they? Sorta low key.. I'm doing behavioural neuroscience at Uni Melb
I work at home in the East Coast area. We moved here for my wife's job. I still work in Texas....via computer.
Hi, my name is Dr of Dunk, and I am a Rockets fan. *clap* *clap* *clap* *clap* wait... there's more... *oh* I was born in India. Came to Houston as a 4 year old and lived in and around Houston for 24 years before I moved to the DFW area about 3.5 years ago. *boo* *boo* *boo* I started following the Rockets when I was about 9 years old when my dad would watch. I used to go to the bathroom and pretend I was actually in there using the bathroom so I could listen to Gene Peterson on my ancient transistor radio instead of doing my homework. My parents began to worry I had bladder/bowel movement problems when I would stay in the bathroom for over 2 hours. My ass would go numb sitting on the toilet or on the floor of the bathroom. *clap* *clap* *clap* Wait, there's more... *damn dude, sit down* I have also been to Dubai, UAE!!!!
I'm from Vietnam now living in Redondo Beach, it's a beach city suburb of Los Angeles California. I been a Rocket fan ever since I liked basketball, actually it was the Rockets that changed my mind to like basketball. Though I don't know any other Rocket supporters here in LA, never the less I'm a proud Rocket Fan! I don't have cable, but I do follow almost every Rocket game on ESPN sports stats live (yup I hit the refresh every sec.) and tape and watch all their games against the Lakers and Clippers. I especially like to re-watch the Clipper games because the Rockets play like hall of famers and beat them big-time, GO Rockets. I didn't know how many international Rocket fans there were around the world! It's nice to know all you guys! Dr of Dunk - LOL that's a funny story.
I'm a Houstonian (Clear Lake) currently living in London. Anybody know if you can get satellite coverage over here?
CompaqC, Sane, I can't believe I'm reading this. I grew up in Dubai! I was there for about six years, from 83-89. Did either of you go to Jumeirah American School? I've been with Clutchcity for a while, back before it was even Clutchcity.com in '96. It has been vital to me, as I have been connected although I've lived in Oberlin OH, Cincinnatti, Santa Fe, Seattle, Santa Barbara, New York, and St. Louis since then.
HayesStreet, I'm a British Rockets fan, and I can tell you that NBA coverage in the UK is pretty thin on the ground. Terrestrial coverage doesn't even start until after the all star break, and there's only the odd (once or twice a week) game on the various digital channels (ITV2 shows extended highlights of two games a week, and I believe TNT shows games as well). I´ve had to resort to ordering videos over the net, which ain´t cheap (9.90 GBP a week, but they have one full game, and about three quarters of another). You can pick the team that you receive, so I ordered the Rockets. Hope that helps, Paul
Hello, my name is RocketRaccoon...and I'm a...uh...Rocket-holic. Born on Okinawa and raised in the western side of the pacific rim. It took almost 7 years in the states before I accepted American sports (loved my soccer). When American sports did make sense, I was living in Houston and Moses Malone played there. I have lived as a Houston sports fan and will die as a Houston sports fan. I'm so Houston I've gone without football...seriously! I have not watched a single full game since the Oilers split. Anyway, the hapa hauli's are represented here! RocketRaccon
I was born in Turkey. I became a Rockets fan when I was living in Belgium during the championship years. I think Hakeem was the biggest reason I became a fan. I live in Michigan now and attend University of Michigan (Rudy T, adn Morrice Taylor connection). Valio, the place you are referring to is Pamukkale and it is actually located in Denizli which is not too far from Izmir (4-5 hours drive I think)
